*Autumn POV*
Nick and I are sitting on the floor, playing my new game. I look over at Nick and have to laugh 'cause he is acting like a 14 year old.
"So Howie, if I were you I would put money on me," Nick tells him.
Howie laughs and I shoot a look at Nick.
"Yeah right Nintendo boy."
We face the tv and start the game. Nick has the advantage and I catch up on him. Howie is watching with great interest. Earlier Nick was knocked back to..well, what is normal for Nick.
Nick sat and laughed. "Told ya I was good. I'm the king at these games."
"Hey I got the winner."
"Okay," I said.
Nick began to tremble as I caught up and passed him. The game ended.
"YES! Who's the queen? I'm the queen!"
I jumped up and Nick got mad.
"I got a rematch" Nick was yelling.
"Oh no," Howie butted in. "I called winner."
Howie and Nick began to fight over the controller. I turn around and as I do, the controller comes back and hits me. I fall to the ground. Howie looks at Nick and kneels by me.
"Nick, go get Aj." Nick keeps standing around. "NICK! Go get AJ!"
"No way! He'll be pissed at me."
"Well you want him or me to..." and Nick ran out of the room and to get AJ and Klyn.
*Klyn POV*
AJ and I are laying in bed cuddling watching an old movie when a frantic knocking begins at our door.
"Well damn who could that be? I told them u and I were spending time alone tonight" AJ says as he gets up and puts a pair of shorts on.
"I don't know why don't you open it up and find out?" I tell him because he is just standing there looking at me as the knocking continues
"Oh yea..good idea" he says smiling. I shake my head and then turn my attention back to the tv. "This better be good" AJ tells whoever is at the door. He opens it and Nick practically falls in "Nick, what the..."
"AJ man you gotta come quick, it's Autumn she's out cold" Nick tells him while trying to catch his breathe.
"What do u mean she's out cold?" AJ asks him as he heads out the door.
I don't hear Nicks reply because they are already in the hall way. I hurry up and grab some clothes and put them on and run down towards Howie's and Autumns room
*Autumns POV*
I slowly begin to open my eyes and I get up. I see this...stranger looking at me. About that time AJ runs in.
"You okay? What in the hell happened?"
"She got hit with a controller Nick and I were fighting over. It was an accident."
About now, Nick has got Brian and Kevin and Klyn comes in.
"Autumn you okay?" Kevin asks.
"How many fingers I have up?" Klyn asks.
I look. "4." They all sigh.
AJ hugs me. "Autumn...you scared me."
I look at them. "Autumn? I'm not Autumn. AH! I'm not in my costume!" I cover my face. "Look Away!"
Everyone looks at each other. Nick decides to talk.
"Um, Autumn..."
"I'm not Autumn."
*Klyn POV*
We all stare at Autumn completely shocked
"What do you mean your not Autumn? Of course your Autumn. Your my sister." Aj tells her.
She looks at him and you can tell she is totally clue less
"No, I'm not your sister and PLEASE don't look at me, I don't have my costume on." She tells us.
"Costume? what in the hell are you talking about?" Aj almost is yelling now.
I put my hand on his shoulder and walk towards Autumn. She takes a step back
"Stop, don't come any closer fair citizen. I don't have my costume on and you should not see me like this" she tells me holding up her hand to me.
I stop dead in my tracks and just stare at her.
'how hard did that controller hit her?' I think to myself. "Autumn?"
I say to her and she gets this pained look on her face
"As I told you before, fair citizen, I am NOT Autumn"
"OH MY GOSH" we hear Nick whisper to himself but I choose to ignore him, nothing new!
"Well umm ok..if you aren't Autumn, then who are you?" I ask her.
She looks at me and then the rest of the guys and then walks away towards the door. At first I think she is going to flee the room screaming but she doesn't, she closes it. She turns around and looks at all of us watching her.
"Can you keep a secret?" She asks us all.
We all look at each other and then all the guys look at me.
"What? Am I now the Backstreet spokesperson for the bazaar things that happen around here?" I ask them. They don't answer me so I roll my eyes and then look back at Autumn. I shrug my shoulders "Sure Autu..yea sure we can keep a secret" I tell her.
She keeps looking at us and I am thinking she forgot what she was going to say but then she smiles and nods, then stands up straight, puts her hands on her hips and says in a very serious voice
"I'm Bat girl"
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
I make sure to keep my face covered. My secret identity can't be revealed.
"Stop playing around," Kevin says. "First Nick now you. I swear, what is gonna happen next? Is Klyn gonna say she is...Wonder Woman?"
"I know Wonder Woman. She is a very tough woman compared to this fair citizen." Klyn nods. "HEY!" I begin to get worried and I bolt towards the bathroom.
"Oh NO! She's gonna fly out!" Nick screams.
I hear that. "I don't fly fair citizen."
Aj sits on the bed, shocked. "Autumn Jade McLean get out here right NOW!"
"To who is this Autumn? Besides, even if I wanted to come out I can't until I find my costume."
Brian looks over at AJ. "It's okay AJ. Just get her the costume so we can get to the show. Have Marcus go get it."
Aj sighs again. "All right. Howie, I need to use your phone."
As AJ goes to the phone, Klyn looks at him. "AJ?"
"Yeah?"
"Remember, you have to keep the secret."
The guys laugh. "Yeah blabber mouth," Kevin kids.
Nick walks over to the door and starts asking me these stupid questions.
*Klyn POV*
As AJ is on the phone trying to convince Marcus to go out and get a bat girl costume, poor Marcus, I'm sitting on the bed listening to Nick ask a million questions.
"Man look Marcus just go get the freakin costume" I hear AJ say into the phone. "Why? oh umm well because" Aj says.
'Oh yea that'll make him just jump right out and get it' I think to myself.
"Yea yea that's it, me and Klyn are going to umm well yea anyway just get it:"
AJ says and I turn and look at him shocked while the guys are trying their hardest not to fall on the floor laughing. AJ hangs up the phone and I slap him upside the head as hard as I can
"OUCH damn baby what in the hell was that for?" He asks me.
"What was that for? hmm let me see 'oh yea Marcus me and Klyn we are going to yea umm' I can't believe you, now Marcus is going to think we get freaky" I yell at him.
AJ looks at me and smiles "Well like people didn't know"
He says and the guys just bust up laughing and all 4 landing on the floor the problem of Autumn, uhh bat girl, forgotten for a second.
"WHAT!! ALEXANDER JAMES MCLEAN you know that is so not true" I yell at him.
He is trying to redeem himself and say he was joking when the bathroom door flies open and Autumn is standing there with a towel wrapped around her neck
"What is the problem fair citizens? I heard fighting" She says looking at us.
We all stop in mid, whatever we were doing, and stare at her. I hear AJ groan and look down at him, forgetting the fight although will bring it up later, and sit back down beside him.
"Well citizens is there a problem?" Autumn asks.
"No, Autumn, there is no problem"
Howie tells her and you can hear the pain in his voice at having to watch his girlfriend break down.
"Uh oh ok"
She says and then goes back into the bathroom and locks the door
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
A good amount of time passes before Marcus brings the costume.
"So which one of you hit her?" Klyn asked.
Howie and Nick share the blame.
"Man, you don't know how bad I feel," Nick says.
"How do you think I feel? I mean it's my girlfriend who thinks she is bat girl."
"Yeah but it's my sis. Remind me to..." but Aj is interrupted by the door and he gets up and answers it, and it's Marcus. "Thanks man."
"I had to go to 4 different places before I found that. Hope you and Klyn have fun with it."
"You know we will. Thanks Marc."
"Aut, I mean Bat girl your costume is here," Brian yells.
I come out with the towel over my face and go back in. 3 minutes later, I come out in costume. Everyone is looking at me.
"Well, my Bat belt isn't here but that is okay." I walk by Nick who is just staring.
"Well, since everything here is in place now, why don't we leave." Brian proclaims.
"Yes. And to make sure it is safe from joker and the others I will walk you fair citizens to your rooms."
Kevin stands up. "No, that's not necc.."
Nick butts in. "There might be fans. Come on. Let her escort us."
*Klyn POV*
I look at Nick like he's lost his mind "Let Autumn" I start but she throws me a look "sorry...bat girl escort us? Come on Nick be for real" I say to him.
"What Klyn, I mean she's bat girl she can protect us better then our bodyguards" he replies.
"Oh brother. Hello NICK it's Autumn, she's not really bat girl you big goof. This is almost as bad as when you thought the sky was falling, you believed that one too." I tell him.
Kevin gives me a look "Well he wouldn't of if you wouldn't of encouraged it" he tells me.
I look at him and shake my head
"Ok, let me get this straight, Kevin. It's not ok for me to encourage Nick that the sky is falling but it's OK for Nick to encourage Autumn to think she's bat girl?" I ask him.
He stands there staring at me and the guys are looking from me to him. I look over at Autumn and she's standing with her hands on her hips looking down the hall
'Looking for the joker no doubt' I think to myself. "Well Kevin? An answer for me?" I ask him. He looks at me and shakes his head and starts off towards his room "Yea thought so" I yell at his retreating back.
"Please fair citizens lets get you to your rooms before the bad guys show up" Autumn says to us.
I turn around and look at her and roll my eyes. AJ is just standing there staring and poor Howie has this lost look on his face. Nick is standing there grinning like a kid on Christmas who just found out what his presents were.
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
Howie looks over at me. He hates that he has to play along.
"So Bat girl, you have anything you plan on doing?"
"Not really. Why do you ask? Has Poison Ivy been hanging around your room?"
"No, I was just wondering if you could tell me about the time you and....Bat man took out Joker and Poison Ivy though."
"I can spare some time." I turned and head back toour room.
Nick looked at Howie. "Damn Howie. You could have told me she looked that good in leather."
"Nick will you shut up." Howie follows me.
I turn to see AJ slap Nick in the back of the head as does Klyn.
"WHAT?" Nick ask.
Klyn answers. "We heard that Nick."
I stop Howie. "Do they always treat him that way?"
"Oh we all do."
"I see," I reply.
*Klyn POV*
"Nick you best get any thoughts about my sister out of your head. She belongs to Howie not you and if you EVEN try anything, I will hurt you. Got that?" AJ tells him.
"Dude man, I was just playing geesh" Nick whines at him.
"No you weren't. I know you man and you aren't the little angel you want your fans to think you are. I mean what I said." AJ tells Nick staring hard at him.
Nick backs down "Ok ok, damn sorry. I got what your saying. she's Howies fine fine"
We watch him walk into his room.
"Ok, now lets go get ready for your concert tonight" I tell AJ grabbing his arm and pulling him towards our room.
"But..what about Autumn?" He asks.
"Alex, she's with Howie he can take care of her. You have to get ready for tonight" I tell him opening our door.
"Ok your right"
We get ready and walk out into the hall way and meet the rest of the guys
"Hey where's Howie and Autumn?" Kevin asks.
"I don't know. I"ll go see if they are ready."
I tell him and walk off to their room. I knock and the door opens a crack and I see Autumn peek through
"Uh hey Aut..bat girl. I was wondering if Howie and you were ready?" I ask her.
"Ah yes the fair citizen Klyn. Please come in. Howard will be ready in a few minutes" she tells me
'Howard?' I think to myself.
She goes and stands by the bathroom with her hands on her hips like she's protecting him, from what I have no idea maybe the toilet monster. Howie walks out and bumps into her
"Uh sorry" he tells her.
"It's ok Howard. I am at my post watching over you. I will be watching over all of you" She tells him.
He looks up at me and I can see the desperation in his eyes and all I can do is shrug cause I have no idea what to do.
"Are we ready now, Howie?" I ask him.
"Yea K, lets go" He answers me and we head to the door
"Wait!" Autumn yells all of a sudden.
We turn and look at her "What?" Howie asks her.
"You must let me look first. Don't want the joker or two face or Mr. freeze to be out there" She says as she opens the door a crack again.
I look over at Howie and he looks at me and we both just shake our heads
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
As we head out, Klyn tells us that she has to wait on AJ she goes in the room and I look at Howie.
"This AJ...I would like to know more about him. What can you tell me Howard?"
"Well, he won't be coming out that door in the next five minutes. He is the rebel of the group. He dyes his hair."
"And why does he call me his sister?"
"Because..."
I place my hand in front of Howie. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Laughing."
"Oh..kay. And what is wrong with that?"
"Howard, there is a difference between good laughter and bad. That is a torturing laughing. Someone is being tortured by methods of tickling! I must go save them!"
Before Howie can say anything, I bolt. Brian walks up and looks at Howie.
"What's her hurry?"
"Torture tickling. I dunno."
Brian's eyes get wide. "Uh, D?"
"Yeah?"
"I know where that laughing is coming from."
*Klyn POV*
I am laying on the bed wiggling trying to get out of AJs grasp, why? because he is tickling me and is showing no mercy.
"AJ stop please"
I beg him in between laughter. I am laughing so hard I have tears coming down
"Sorry can't do that" he tells me.
"Pleeaasseee" I start begging.
He starts laughing at me when the door flies open. He stops and we both look over to the door. Autumn is standing there looking at AJ and then comes running at him and jumps on him screaming
"POW"
I jump up off the bed
"AJ!!"
I yell as they are rolling on the floor Autumn yelling
"bang, pow"
While AJ is just yelling.
Howie and Brian enter our room and just stand there looking at the scene in front of them dumb founded. I look over at them
"Well do something!" I yell.
They look at each other and then run over to the two and start to try to tear them apart.
"Autu..bat girl come on now get off of AJ" Howie says to her
"But he was attacking Klyn and I am sworn to protect the fair citizens of this city" she tells him as Brian is helping Aj up off the floor.
"What in the hell got into you?" Aj yells at her.
I walk over to him and pull him away from her
"Remember Alex, she's not herself" I whisper to him.
He turn around and looks at her
"Damn straight she isn't herself. She pulls that crap again I don't know what I'll do" He says as he examines the scratches he got on his arm.
I take him into the bathroom and fix him up with the first aid kit. I leave the door open so I can hear what Howie and the guys are telling Autumn.
"I understand you are umm protecting us but AJ and Klyn are together. She's his girlfriend and all he was doing was tickling her. He knows she hates it but likes to tease her" Howie explains.
Autumn looks at him and then shakes her head
"If she doesn't like it he shouldn't do it and I will make sure he doesn't"
And then walks out into the hall way.
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
I stand guarding the door when I see this guy coming towards the door.
"Autumn is that you?"
"I am not Autumn."
Marcus looks up and down at me.
"Does Klyn know you are in her outfit?"
"I think you are mistaken. This is my outfit." He starts towards the door but I stop him. "I'm sorry but you can't go in there."
"Why not?" Marcus tried to move around me but can't. "Is AJ in there?"
"Yes he is."
"What is he doing?"
"Probably reconsidering before he hurts Klyn again."
"He hurt her? I need in!"
"I can't let you go in there. Besides, I am guarding them."
Marcus looks at me. We hear the door open and there stands Kevin and Brian. Marcus looks at them confused because I won't let him around me.
"AJ!" Brian yells.
"Okay, can I talk to you?" Kevin ask me.
"Yes you may."
Kevin walks me over to the side and talks to me.
"Au..Bat girl, that dude's cool. He knows AJ."
My eyes get wide.
"Oh no! NOW he will have him help against torturing Klyn!"
I dash off before Kevin can stop me.
"Why does it always happen to me? Why can't it happen to N Sync?"
*Klyn POV*
I am in the bathroom redoing my hair and makeup since AJ found it in his heart to start tickling me when I hear Marcus enter the room.
"Man what is up with your sister?" He asks.
I hear AJ sigh and slam down the remote for the tv
"I don't know. She's been acting weird and thinks she's bat girl."
"Bat girl?"
"Yea bat girl. She just busted in here and attacked me accusing me of hurting K. Man I'd never hurt Klyn."
"Everyone knows you wouldn't hurt Klyn man, don't worry about it. I mean if she's been acting weird maybe you all need to get her to a doctor."
"Yea I know, maybe we should"
I hear AJ reply. Satisfied with how I look I walk out and smile at Marcus
"Hi Marc"
"Hey sweetie. How you doing?" He asks me.
I laugh at him "You just saw me earlier today"
"I know I know but being around this guy can drive you crazy" He tells me laughing.
I laugh "True, true"
"Hey, now that's not fair. You guys are ganging up on me" AJ whines and we laugh at him.
"Oh and Marc I wanted to thank you for helping me out earlier with that over zealous fan" I say walking up to him and giving him a hug
"Oh girl your welcome."
All of a sudden the door flies open and Autumn is standing there looking at me and Marcus.
"STOP don't you dare hurt her" she yells and then jumps on Marcus' back.
He yelps out in surprise and I let go and move away in shock.
"AUTUMN"
AJ yells but she isn't Autumn anymore, she is bat girl and going in full force
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
Klyn runs over and yells for all the guys. Kevin, Brian, Nick, and Howie run in.
"I knew you two worked for Joker! It was obvious when I saw Aj's hair! Only a guy that works for the Joker would have his hair like that!"
Suddenly everyone stops, including Marcus and starts laughing. I slide off Marcus.
"What is so funny?"
Aj looks up. "Yeah? what is so funny?"
Nick wipes away a tear.
"She's right! Oh she is so right! You do have something like a jokerish hairstyle."
While everyone is laughing I sneak out.
"Marcus are you okay?" Howie asks.
"I think I am. Dang she caught me off guard."
Kevin looks at the clock.
"Oh we have got to get rolling."
Nick turns and sees me gone.
"GREAT! Autumn's gone."
Brian sighs. "We got to find her. Now if you were a super hero, where would you go?"
Everyone thought and Nick perked up.
"To the bat cave! That is where she is!"
*Klyn POV*
We all turn and look at Nick like he's lost his mind.
"What?" He asks.
I shake my head and look at everyone
"You know as screwed up as that sounds, he's probably right."
Marcus looks at me and starts laughing but stops when he sees no one else joining in
"Your kidding, right?" He asks me.
I shake my head no and he turns to AJ
"Sorry Marc, but she's not kidding"
"Uhh ok. So where do you think, I can't believe I'm saying this, the bat cave is?" Marc asks no one in particular.
We all stand around trying to think
"Guys we really gotta get to the arena, we need to find Autumn" Kevin tells us all.
"We know that Kev but we aren't going to find her until we find the...bat cave" Howie says painfully.
All of a sudden Nick slaps his forehead and we all look at him
"Damn Nicky why didn't you tell me you wanted to be hit, I would of gladly done it" I tell him.
"Haha Klyn funny"
"Thank you Nick"
I tell him and he sticks his tongue out at me and I do it right back
"Ok, children lets not start the tongue wars again" Kevin tells us.
Aj looks at him and then me
"K, when did you have a tongue war with Nick?" He asks me.
I almost start laughing but decide not to because of the look in Ajs eyes
"Oh babe, not THAT kind of tongue war, I only have that with you" I tell him and walk up to him and put my arm around him
"Oh ok, that better be right" He tells me.
I smile and shake my head and the guys laugh at us.
"You two need help" Brian tells us.
Aj smiles "Thank you"
"Ok now Nick, why did you slap yourself on the forehead?"
Howie asks him getting back to the main topic...Autumn/Bat girl/messed up person.
"I thought of where the bat cave could be" He told us proudly.
"Where?" we all ask at once.
"The basement" He says.
"The basement?"
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
(Narrator's voice: Meanwhile in the basement..LOL sorry I had to do that)
I'm looking around trying to find where the equipment went to.
"Holy smokes! Bat man isn't going to be happy about this. Maybe I need to go tell the gang about this."
I head up to the elevator and as I am about to step in I hear Nick screaming
"THERE SHE IS!"
Everyone steps out of the elevator and looks at me.
"Something wrong fair citizens?"
Nobody says a thing so Brian becomes spokesman for the group.
"No, we were just looking for you."
"Why, Bane sneaking around?" I turn and look.
"No Bat girl, we have to get to the show and ...uh," Kevin was thinking.
Marcus jumped in. "They thought they would invite you to the show."
Everyone turned and looked at Marcus.
"Good save Marc," Klyn whispered.
"I don't know. I have to fight crime."
"But they can turn the Bat signal on if they need you," Kevin said.
AJ just rolled his eyes. "We gotta get her to a doctor. FAST! I can't take this anymore."
Howie spoke up. "I know what you mean man."
As we headed out, Nick tapped me on the shoulder.
"Yes young Nicky?"
"Um, were you in the bas..I mean Bat cave?"
"Yes I was."
"Cool."
*Klyn POV*
We all get back on the elevator, this time bat girl/Autumn/that one chick, is with us. We get to the lobby and there are some fans there and the minute we step out of the elevator a squeal is let out letting the rest of the fans know the boys have arrived. Marcus goes into his bodyguard mode when the girls gather around the boys. I walk ahead so I am not in the way and get into the van and turn to look out the window and my jaw drops at the sight. Autumn/bat girl, is acting like a bodyguard pushing through the fans, well trying to, trying to get the boys to the van. I hear Marcus yelling at her
"Get into the van Autumn"
"No fair citizen I must help you protect"
"Autumn just get in the damn van" AJ yells at her.
She turns and looks at him
"I cannot leave my post as your protector" She tells him in a serious tone of voice.
By now fans are looking at her like she's lost her mind.
'Not far from the truth'
I am thinking when I hear AJ yell for me
"K, come and get Autumn into the van"
'Oh yea right, she'll start kapowing and booming me the minute I touch her' I think as I step out and walk over to her. I touch her arm when I get close to her, well as close as I can get, the fans have closed ranks. "Autumn come on lets get into the van" I yell at her.
"No I must stay here" She yells back.
I roll my eyes and grab her arm and pull her towards me. She breaks through the fans around her and gives me a dirty look
"What do you think your doing fair citizen?" she asks me
"We have to get to the van. Marc and the other bodyguards will get the boys out of that mob. It will be easier if you are not in the way" I tell her and start taking her to the van.
At first she resists but I don't let go. We get in and sit down and she is staring at the crowd
"I shouldn't of left" She whispers to herself.
I just roll my eyes and smile at Nick who entered the van first.
"Wow that was crazy" He says smiling.
"Yea it was" I tell him as the rest of the boys get in.
They all settle in and finally we can get on our way to the arena.
"I still think I shouldn't of left" Autumn says eyeing me suspiciously.
"Autumn you had to, it's the bodyguards job to keep us safe, not yours" Howie says trying to calm her down.
"Well it is my job to keep you safe also, but I wasn't able to because of her" She tells him pointing at me.
He sighs and shakes his head "K, was only getting you on the van to keep you safe. You were about to get trampled" He tells her.
She doesn't say anything but glares at me again. I look at her back and then just put my head on Ajs shoulder
"I wish this day would get over fast" I whisper to him.
He smiles and pats my leg
"I know what you mean babe"
We are quiet for the rest of the trip to the arena.
*Autumn/Bat Girl POV*
We arrive at the arena and this time Klyn has a hold of my arm. I feel so ashamed and feel I am not doing my part.
"If Bat man finds out about this, I'm in trouble," I say.
AJ turns and looks at me. "I doubt Bat man is going to find out."
"Oh you don't know that Alexander. He can find out anything."
I hear Brian telling Nick to ask me something. I turn around.
"Yes?"
"Um, about this bat cave. Can you like take people there?"
"Yes I can."
"So can you take me and Brian? We would love to see it."
I sigh. "I'm sorry young Nickolas, but I can't take you to the bat cave. Only Bat man, Robin and myself can get access to it."
"Damn," Nick says.
Kevin walks over to Nick.
"Nick, don't start making her think that there is a bat cave when there isn't."
"There is so! I know so."
I stand and look around the arena. I look over and spot Howie.
"Howard, I am going to check the arena. You know, make sure that Clay face or Black Mask isn't around because if they are it means trouble for you and your friends."
Howie walks over and places his hand on my shoulder.
"Okay. Just be careful, okay??"
"I'm Bat girl. I can handle anything." I jump in a cart being used. "Atomic battery to power." And I take off.
Aj turns and shakes his head.
"NICK!"
"What?" he whines.
"Has Autumn been reading your comics again?"
Nick shrugs his shoulders and Howie asks someone to follow me and make sure I'm okay.
"Can someone call a doctor to come in and check her out?" AJ yells.
