A Face 2 Face Encounter with FACE's Inspiring Couple

Inspiring

“It is not because they are husband and wife that’s why I’m giving this award, it is only therefore right, their dedication and commitment to FACE as an individual that I have come up with this award for our graduation rite tonight”, said Engr. Edmundo Ferrer, Filipino Association for Computer Excellence (FACE) founder and President.

“I would like to call on Nestor & Susan Pagdanganan, to receive the Loyalty Award for having continuously serving FACE through the years,” continued Engr. Ferrer as he holds two trophies of appreciation for the two awardees.

As they walked up on the podium to receive this meaningful award, anyone could only think how this couple had managed to include in their precious time being a trainer, as well as being parents to their three wonderful kids. One fellow trainer could be heard uttering, thanks God for giving us this wonderful couple!

“Since our graduation on PC Assembly Batch 10, way back in the winter time of December 2001, our thought of sharing the knowledge and skill that we’ve acquired from FACE would better be shared with our fellow OFWs in Dubai,” claims Nestor Pagdanganan, FACE Chairman on Special Projects and a volunteer Lecturer/Trainer for PC Assembly class.

“This has not been so easy from the start, since our Fridays are mostly family day before we joined the pool of trainers. As we go along with the training classes, the kids have been so understanding that they even remind us the time we need to be at OWWA on Fridays,” says Susan Isurita-Pagdanganan, FACE volunteer Trainer of PC Assembly.

It could be true that this is a matter of time management. You can rarely see couples spending the whole day on Fridays, attending and assisting whatever they can for the success of the program, aside from group practices on weekdays which last until the wee hours.

Not to mention of their religious activities in the CFC, they still have found time for being FACE trainers which started from PC Assembly Batch 11 to recent Batch 16. They have been trainers as well on PC Networking and participated in the opening of the first batch of PC Assembly in Ajman. They are also graduates of various courses offered by FACE.

They also have been chosen to be the recipient of the first ever Couples Award given by Eng?r. Ed Ferrer coinciding with the PC Assembly Batch 15 graduation ceremony last February 2004 and both of them were twice awarded the Best Effort Award the previous year.

On May 14, 2004, a total of 100 graduates from PC Assembly (Batch 16), PC Networking (Batch 10), Graphics Design (Batch 3) and Visual Basic (Batch1), has witnessed another successful graduation ceremony held at the Metropolitan Palace Hotel in Deira, attended by the Labour Attache in Dubai, Hon. Vicente Cabe and his wife Chelsea.

All these upgrading courses were offered by FACE for FREE to all OFWs in the UAE under the auspices of Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

To the inspiring and indefatigable couple, Nestor and Susan, once again our heartiest congratulations! May God continue to bless your wonderful family, and shine all His blessings onto your lives!

And may your unfaltering service to the club continue. FACE to FACE we're with you! Thanks be to the Almighty.
