Oh God, oh God... Brian is lying, it can't be... I'm in love with Jason, not with Nick!! Jason is the one for me, I can see it in his eyes, and Nick is my best friend... Although it would explain his behaviour lately and especially yesterday...

This Friday wasn't different then the others. This evening we would go to 'the Zillion', a disco not so far from where I live. We plans out: Nick, Brian, Kevin, AJ, Howie, Jason, Rachel (Jason's sister)and me. Mostly Tim, Johnny, Barry and Steve came along also, friends of Jason, Steve is Rachel's boyfriend.

Every Friday night we enjoy ourselves, this time also. The only difference is that Wednesday was my birthday and today we would celebrate my 18th birthday. I never celebrate my birthday on my real birthday, June 10th, mostly shortly afterwards.

We are all having a great time, actually I don't know about the others, but Jason and I are really enjoying ourselves.... Maybe we drank too much, but it didn't bother us. We started making out since we entered the disco, and we wouldn't stop till we left... Nick stood up without letting us know, and Brian, Kevin, Howie and AJ followed.

God, can't they just stop making out for one second? Maybe if we sing a song for her, would that stop them? Probably not, but it's worth the trying. I can't do it on my own, maybe the others will sing also.

"Yo, Bri!"

"What Nick?"

"Never mind, what got you in this mood?"

"Them..." And he looked at Faith and Jason, I grinned.

"Single, huh?"

"Yeah... so?!"

"Nothing... Wanna sing?" I tempted.

"Everything to get away from here."

"Okay, tell the others to come also."

"They'll follow, believe me..."

I walked to the stage and asked if we could come up and sing something. He said we could sing all night long as long as it's good music and doesn't scare the people. Okay, I said... And by then all the other BSB were there.

"Let's get it on!!" Typically AJ.

We sang two songs, first 'Don't Wanna Lose You Now' and afterwards 'It's Gotta Be You'.

Only once Faith looked up, once. She didn't hear the message I guess. And that was it, I couldn't help it anymore. The song wasn't finished yet and I just ran of the stage through the crowd to get to the two 'lovebirds'.

"Can't you just quit it for one minute, not even a second?!"

Faith looked up, right in my eyes. "What? Why do we have to stop? You're not one of my parents to say I can't kiss my boyfriend!!"

"I'm not telling you what to do!!! You two aren't the only ones, you know?

"Did you hear what I just told you?! You didn't say a word to me all evening. What was I supposed to hear? I'm sorry that I didn't faint when you sang!!! Sorry that I didn't run to the first line!!! Don't have such a big ego, boy. You're great, but not the greatest on earth!!! Don't think that way 'bout yourself!!! You're not worth it!!!"

Nick ran away, I didn't see his face, but I know what it looked like. I heard every word she said to him. Faith had no right to say that, especially not if she doesn't know why he went up that stage. Yeah, to get away from those two, but I don't think that's the real reason. That's something I'll find out soon enough. I ran outside and looked for Nick... I saw someone running away in the middle of the street, it was Nick, the same build.

I ran after him and screamed his name, but he didn't stop running. I catch up with him after a while and saw he was crying. I never saw him cry. He always was the funny person without tears.

"Nick, stop. You can't run forever."

"I can try, can't I?"

"Honestly? No!! Stop and talk with me..."

He slowed down and finally we both stood still, trying to catch our breaths...

"Are you gonna tell me what happened there?"

"You were there, why are you asking me to explain?!" Nick mumbled.

"Calm down Nick, otherwise you're going to have a heart attack in no time..."

"It's not fair, it's just not fair!!!"

We went sitting down and Nick tried to stop crying, but he was having a hard time with it.

"I love her, Bri... Why can't she see that?"

I closed my eyes, not knowing what to say...

"You know why? Because she doesn't look around anymore, she only looks at Jason, who's fooling with her, and doesn't look after her friends anymore...." Nick blurted out.

"What are you saying Nick, what do you mean with 'fooling with her'?"

"I saw him with other girls, more then you can count on both hands..."

"And Faith doesn't know it?"

"She knows, I told her, but she didn't believe me. She said she saw it all in Jason's eyes, that he truly loved her..."

"She doesn't really loves him...."

"How do you know?"

"If you told her that, and she didn't try to see it? It doesn't make sense. You have to look at the good, but also the bad things about a person. She doesn't wanna see the bad things, she doesn't even try. My conclusion: their relationship is fake. As fake as can be..."

"I knew that already, but Faith doesn't care. You heard what she just said to me...?"

"Yeah, I did. It wasn't Faith, it was the alcohol talking. She would never say that to her best friend and you know that. That wasn't Faith. It was the alcohol or Jason that's doing this change to her.... It's not too late...."

"How can I get her?" Nick asked, hope burning in his eyes.

"That's up to you. Maybe I can help, but that's also up to Faith. It's just a matter of waiting, I guess... Right now... let's go home, ok?"

"It's probably for the best, maybe she doesn't remember anything tomorrow...."

"And then what?"

"I'll tell her.... She can't insult me like that and act like nothing happened!!!"

"You're right...."
