“We are here.” AJ announced.
“What’s so special about this place?” Sarah asked as they got out the car.
“You’ll see.” AJ whispered as he covered Sarah’s eyes with his hands. “Ta-da!” AJ removed his hands from her eyes; letting her eyes adjust to the light again. Sarah blinks a couple times before looking at what AJ wanted to show her.
“Where is the surprise?” she asked while looking around.
“Right here.” AJ lead her over to the edge of the hill, looking down at the city below them.
“It’s beautiful!” Sarah exclaimed as the speeding cars on the highway created a river of lights.
“Look over there.” AJ pointed to the lake at the border of the busy city. The water reflected the moon; the whole surface becomes silver as if someone laid a layer of silver dusts on the still lake.
Sarah watched in awe. “It’s beautiful.” she repeated.
“Not as beautiful as you.” AJ circles his arms around her slim waist. “Sarah? I have something to ask you...” AJ reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet-covered box. “Will you make me the happiness man in the world by becoming my wife?”
Tears soon filled Sarah’s eyes. “AJ... You know I will!”
“Here.” AJ opens the box and takes out a silver ring, it’s in a shape of a dragon, and the dragon goes around, so where the mouth and the tail meet it covered by a diamond. Sarah was speechless, AJ, this man in front of her, the man she loves more than anything in the world has proposed to her. Her, Sarah Ford, a girl from Maryland, a girl that has never dared to dream because she’s afraid that she dream won’t come true. And AJ made her childhood dream true. He’s the man she’s been waiting for her whole life.
Angela, Nick, Amanda and Brian were having a blast! Brian had won a bag full of stuffed animals for Amanda due to his amazing shooting skills. The group decided to spilt up after getting something to eat. Amanda and Brian were gonna check out the other game booths. And Nick and Angela were going for the Ferris Wheel. They said good-byes since Brian would take Amanda back to her hotel and Nick was taking Angela home.
“Alone at last!” Nick handed the tickets to teenager that’s standing at the entrance. Angela couldn’t help but smile.
“So, do you like the view?” Nick asked as they stopped at the very top.
“Gorgeous, it’s like I can almost see heaven. Do you think the angels are watching over us?”
“I’m looking at one right now.” Nick whispered. Leaning in for a kiss. But it was broken when the wheel started moving again. As soon as they stepped off, a group of teenage girls rushed over and begged for autographs from Nick. He shot his date an apologetic look while signing his name over and over again.
“Who are you?” One of the girls glanced at Angela.
“A friend.” She replied while Nick gave each of them a hug and thanked them for supporting the Backstreet Boys.
“Let’s go.” Nick smiled as they headed towards the car.
