When Nick got to the apartment, he found the door locked. He found the spare key and opened the door.
"Angela?" He called out. No answer. Nick walked in her bedroom, only to find it empty.
His yell was mixed with a sob. The sob turned into a cry when he found the rose he gave her, the teddy bear he got her at the fair and the picture of them buried in the bottom of the trash can.
"Angela?" Nick whispered, fearing what he's thinking is true. He opened the closet, the clothes were gone, along with the suitcase. "Angela? Answer me! Please!"
The guys listened in patience as Sarah finished her story.
"Why did you do it for her?" Kevin asked calmly, sensing there's more behind her story.
"I'm sorry, Kev, but I can't tell you that." Sarah answered with a weak smile on her face.
"Why not? Unless you did out of free will." Amanda cut in sarcastically.
"What the hell is your problem?" AJ finally exploded, ever since Sarah admitted that she had something to do with how the fight started, Amanda had been cold and rude at whatever Sarah said.
"My problem? My best friend is being accused for something she didn't do, and for once in her life, she was actually happy and the reason of her happiness is taken away by her!" Amanda fought back.
The phone rang, stopped their bickering. "Hello?" Howie answered, ready to give the caller a piece of his mind if it's Marissa.
"It's Nick, Angela's gone."
"What?" Howie exclaimed and put Nick on speaker.
"She's gone, she packed and left. No note, no letters, no nothing. She threw away the things I gave to her." Nick cried like a little baby at the other end of the phone.
"I wouldn't be surprised." Amanda muttered.
"Did you look for her on the streets? Or the hotels? She can't be out there on the streets." Kevin suggested, thinking the worst.
"What do you think I've been doing for the past two hours?" Nick exploded.
"What name did you look under when you check the hotels?" Amanda asked.
"Angela Dovane. Why?"
"Check this name, Hammy Famre."
"Why?"
"Because that's her nickname, and my last name. She uses it as her fake name and to be part of my family." Amanda told him.
"I'll call you guys back."
After about 20 minutes, Nick called back. "You were right! There is a Hammy Famre. Room 186 at Holiday Inn."
"Great, Nick, there's something I need to tell you..." Sarah started, but there was nothing but a dial tone. "He hung up."
"Let's hope he doesn't mention anything about the money-using." Brian prayed silently.
