He was asleep soon after. Angela stretched lazily as she stood up from her sitting position on the bed.
“Oh, God.” Nick mumbled in his sleep, without a warning, he jumped out of bed and raced for the bathroom. Falling to his knees, he made it to the toilet in time before he started throwing up again. Angela hurried to him.
“Poor Nick.” She murmured, reaching over and held his hair back. His stomach heaved again. “This is all my fault.”
Even throwing up, Nick shook his head at Angela’s comment. After a few minutes of dry heaving, since all the contents of his stomach was already in the toilet. Nick flushed it and put is head on his arms.
“You know, I’ve never held a guy’s hair back before.” Angela giggled.
“Oh shut up.” Nick said, his words weren’t harsh, but tired and not very amused. Angela tucked him in again and made sure he has everything he needed on the nightstand. She went back to her own bed.
Sarah paced back and forth in her apartment. It seemed bigger and lonelier. She went home after the unsuccessful encounter with Angela earlier. Slowly, she sat down on the carpet and fell into silence; she needed time to think. She didn’t notice that she was crying until the phone rang and she wiped her eyes. “Hello?”
“Hey, traitor.” said a voice so familiar and yet full of anger and disgust.
“What do you want Marissa?”
“I want to know why Nick is back with that bitch.”
“I told them everything.” Sarah said coldly.
“Which would also explain why Brian called earlier and warned me to stay away from his friend. I suppose AJ knows too.”
“He knows that you were behind all this.”
“Wrong... He doesn’t know why you did it, does he?” Marissa chuckled.
“He doesn’t know yet, but I’m going to tell him.” Sarah had an urge to slammed the phone, but her mind told her not to. Marissa had things against her.
“Oh, I bet you he knows. Because I faxed a letter to him, he should be reading it...about right now.” Marissa laughed, it wasn’t a joyful laugh, more like an old witch’s cackle.
“How dare you!? You better start running, cuz when I see you, I’m going to kick your fucking ass!” Sarah couldn’t help but scream, after all, she had a right to.
“Right now I wouldn’t worry about myself, shouldn’t you be on your way to your beloved AJ’s house?” Marissa taunted.
Sarah didn’t bother to reply. She dropped the phone and raced out the house to get to her car.
Angela returned to the living room, she sat down next to Brian.
“How’s he doing?” Brian asked.
“Good, he’s finally asleep.”
“I heard that your conversion with Sarah wasn’t...forgiving.” Brian commented, Kevin told him about it since he was out to get Nick some cold/flu medicine.
“Why is everyone treating me like I’m the bad guy?!”
“We’re not.” Howie and Kevin said in harmony from the other couch. They were looking over songs and deciding which one should they use for their next album.
“But...” Angela started, she was interrupted by the ringing from the fax machine.
“It should be the last song.” Kevin stood up. He stopped when AJ told him that he’d get it from the kitchen.
AJ walked over to the machine, waiting patiently for the words to be printed. When it’s done, he reached over and picked it up. Yet it wasn’t what he had in mind, it was a hospital transcript with a little notes on the bottom says ‘From a friend, you deserve to know the truth.’ He read over it carefully, it didn’t make any sense to him until he saw the name on the top - ‘Sarah Ford’.
“What the hell?” AJ muttered. He read over the information again, hoping that the black words would disappear. The information on the paper was shocking, but it did make sense.
“Can we read it too?” Howie yelled to his friend. Wondering what’s on the paper he’s holding. It must be a really good song, since AJ held a looking of unbelieving on his face.
Kevin lost his patience as he began to walk towards AJ. There was a violent knock on the door, Kevin turned and went to get it. He saw Sarah and her tearstained, frantic face.
“I need to see AJ, where is he? I need to tell him something import...” Sarah trailed off when she saw AJ moving to her direction with a piece of paper in his hands. ‘It’s too late.’ Sarah thought hopelessly as AJ stood in front of her.
“Is this true?” He asked.
Sarah nodded. AJ let go of the paper as it fell to the floor and raised his hand over his head. Sarah closed her eyes, she knew AJ would slap her, she deserved it. The guys’ eyes widen as AJ’s hand swung down...
