But he didn't hit her; his fingers smooth the tension of her face gently.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I couldn't, you'd turn away and leave me." Sarah whispered, hoping that AJ would yell at her or even hit her. The guilt of lying to him was too great to deal; she deserved to be punished.
"How can you know that I would when you didn't even tell me?" AJ asked, lifting Sarah's face up by her chin.
"I don't know."
"Let's go somewhere so we can talk." AJ grabbed her hand and lead her out the door.
The guys stood there in absolute amazement, they
had all thought that AJ was going to hit Sarah, but for what reason? Letting his curiosity getting the best of him, Howie bend over and picked up the paper. On top of the paper, it said '1996 Medical Transcript' and underneath
it was a report of abortion, the patient was Sarah Ford. According to the article, Sarah was raped in her first college year and had an abortion in order to continue school.
"Oh my God." Howie exclaimed. Then he handed the paper to Brian and Kevin. Those two finished reading it like kids swallowing their food.
"What does it mean?" Brian asked blankly, apparently,
the information didn't registering his mind.
"It means that Sarah had an abortion. Poor girl,
she was threatened by Marissa because of this." Kevin sighed. "And it wasn't even her fault." he added later on.
"What would AJ and her talk about?" Howie wondered
out loud.
"I don't know, I honestly don't know." Brian shook
his head as they fell into silence again.
Angela returned to Nick's room with two cans of
Pepsi and two glasses. She kicked off her slippers as she headed towards
him.
"What are you doing?" She asked as she set the
drinks down.
"Can't decide which video to see, so I'm closing
my eyes and grabbing the first one I reached." Nick replied as he did what
he just said. He opened his eyes with 'The Matrix' in his hands. Angela
picked up the rest of the videos and put them into the drawer in the nightstand.
"Have you seen this?" Nick asked, getting comfortable
as Angela crawl across the bed with the sodas in her hand.
"Yep, it's best sci-fi movie ever." She got up
and put the tape in the machine.
"I thought you only like romance." Nick teased,
he was getting better, and thanks to the medicines Brian got earlier and dropped them by his house.
"There's romance in it." Angela grinned as she
settled down next to him and pushed the play button.
