Chapter Five

“You heard me, we’re taking the first flight in the morning.” Kevin replied, not understanding why she would so upset.

“No, I’m not going back there.” Angela insisted; her voice calm now, but the seriousness and stubborn is still there.

“It’s for the best, your dad doesn’t want to report you as a runaway, you are not an adult yet. Besides, everything’s going to be fine.” Kevin explained.

“If you call living in a hell ‘fine’, then I guess I’m okay.” Angela started backing off.

“Your dad cares about you, he loves you!” Kevin sat down on a chair. No matter how much she wanted to tell them the truth, but she couldn’t!

“Get some sleep, we’ll talk about it in the morning.” Brian suggested, trying his best to calm Angela down, who is shaking like a leaf.

“You don’t understand! You don’t know a single thing about me or my family problems!” She yelled out.

“Well, it might help if you told us.” AJ sneered, he was getting tired with putting up with her.

Nick said something, but she couldn’t understand him, all she heard was blurry noises coming out his mouth. Her sight became foggy, and her knees were weak, before she knew it, she’s laying on the floor, unconscious.

“Hey, you okay?” Nick rushed over. “I’ll take her to her room.” Nick said firmly, walking up the stairs.

“I’ll talk to her dad as soon as possible, there must be something else that he did to her. Brian, will you go remind Nick to pack? And tell him to pack his blue suit for the meeting.”

Brian nodded. “For what?”

“An interview, we’re gonna tell kids how to get along with someone with a big age difference.” Kevin laughed.

“And they asked you two?” AJ asked with wide eyes while the group burst into laughter.
