"I thought you were special, I thought you would know" garbage, special

Tonight I had piano lessons. I love going to piano. My teacher is incredible. Tonight I swear my hands were just a different part of me, they flew. I consciously had no control over them. It was amazing.

Then I went to the library, afterwards, and I was happy because they put new art up on the walls. It's not as good as the stuff they had up last month, but it still brightened me up. See, they get area high schools to put some of their students' art on display. Last month they had art up from Columbian, and that stuff was awesome. But anyways, I couldn't get any new books out because I didn't have my purse with me, so no card. I'm reading Stardust, by Neil Gaiman anyways right now. He's a friend of Tori's.

Then, as I was driving home, I got behind some big van going 25mph in a 35 zone. Usually that drives me nuts, but I'm really proud of myself because I, for some reason, just thought "Chill Julie. It's not that big of a deal. He probably just didn't see the sign." And I backed off and was driving like 22mph in a 35 zone, but it was ok.
I think that's a good step to reduce my un-needed unhappiness.
Just trying to be a bit more joyful.
Just trying to keep a smile on.
I'm sure sleep would help that, so I'm going to get some now.
