Sometimes I'm afraid because I can't remember exactly what it felt like to be ten. When I was in fourth grade, I remember how tough my life seemed and how no one understood it. I wrote in my journal, "when I grow up, I'm going to write an awesome book about what it's like to be this age, because no one understands."
And now I'm not even out of high school and I can't remember how I felt. I can barely remember what it was like sometimes.
I think remembering experiences at all ages is extremely important in shaping your self and future. Without that what are you but a ghost of your past?
Maybe one day I'll just wake up and say to myself, "Oh, yeah! That's what it felt like!!"
Maybe. I remember warning Christie when she was in sixth grade to remember what it felt like to be in elementary school, because after that things change and even if you try it's just too easy to forget.
