The Phase I money is in! Applications are available now at the Jackson county Extension Office in McKee. Completed applications are due May 22nd to be included in the first funding cycle. Someone will be at the Extension office from 1-4PM on May 8th if you need any help filling out your application.
We are currently working on applying for other grants to help us get started on a few more projects. We hope to have an organic compost operation underway soon, as well as an example garden for training and tourists. We would like to be able to educate new growers at this facility, and have examples, and sample plots of everything we grow. We will need grant money, and contributions to establish this facility, and we are working very diligently to acquire the funds.
