JOHN STROTHER 1694
AND HIS DESCENDANTS
John was the first born child of William and
Elenor.
He was baptised at St Cuthbert's Church, Norham on the 22 November 1694.
On 3 February 1722 he claimed freemanship of Berwick upon Tweed and also in
that year he married Ann Abernethy
at Norham on the 29 November 1722.
John and Ann had three children:
1. John was baptised at Norham on 4 November 1722, being born before his
parents' marriage.

2. William was baptised at Norham on 3 September 1732. He died about 1781.
William owned houses and land and was involved in the salmon fishery. He
lived in Norham.
CHILDREN
1. William baptised 30 August 1770 at Norham. He resided in Berwick, living
on the income of his houses and land.

3. Roger ( my direct ancestor )
was baptised at Norham on 27 April 1735.
