jax drinks in sink"Hello,
I'm Jax, the Family Cat"
No, I really can't talk, but I'm a pretty cool cat none-the-less. I was adopted in August of 2004 at age 7 from the Milwaukee Humane Society by this lovely couple I now call "Mommy" and "Daddy." They always tell me how cute I am and let me cuddle with them. Apparently, I'm a very loud purrer and a bit unique, they tell me.

I'm Unique because

  1. I like to lay in the bathroom sink.
  2. I am picky about where I drink my water.
I prefer a running sink or fountain to my water dish.
  3. According to them, I have a whiny, obnoxious meow.
  4. I like to give everybody hugs and attention
  5. I usually even come when I'm called

People say cats have it easy. Look what I have to go through every morning! Pet me and see.

Meow! Pet me

So I'm unique, but I think that's why they love me so much. They got married in May of 2004 and moved into the home where I live now; my own kitty condo. Then a few months later I came into the picture. I felt at home right away and soon became their "only child".

They really stepped up to the plate as my "parents" when I got sick and had to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night. I'm fine now, but they sure like to complain about how much my ultrasounds cost them. They weren't the ones that had to walk around with a bandage on their paw and lampshade around their neck for weeks. That was depressing, but now I'm a happy, healthy kitty.

If you ever want to ask me a question, e-mail it to my mommy and daddy and they can post it on my page with my answer. I can probably get around to answering your letters in between some naps.

Jax's Emails

Hi Jax,
I really do like you for a cousin, even though I hiss at you when we're together. It's only because my parents go away so I miss them and feel unsettled. Actually, I hiss at you when they're home, too. Hmmm. OK. Let's still say I like you for a cousin, but from a distance. Still,my parents think I'm sweet; I have the cutest meow that sounds like a bird song and sometimes give them the privilege of snuggle time. Purr. Stretch. Time for a catnap now.
Your cousin,
Miko

Meow Miko,
Thanks for the e-mail, but really, you shouldn't have. I thought that huge cat nip bag I pushed off your kitchen counter for you when I visited would have been a nice peace offering since you seemed to enjoy it. Some kitties never change. Glad you like me on some level.
