Chapter Three
Conversation With Trieze
"This is our dining hall, a favorite place among the soldiers." Treize says as they enter the mess hall. She hides behind him a bit as she spots the three men she excaped from earlier that week at a table, eyeing her viciously. They stand, throwing away their scraps and put their dishes in the dirty dish pile. They sneer as they walk past her. "We'll get you soon." The one she had kneed whispers in her ear as they exit.

"What was that all about?" Treize says as he quirks a brow at her confused. She sighs as she looks up at him, her eyes meeting his for a first time and she feels as if the whole world just breaks away beneath her feet. She then realizes that she's staring and blushes softly, looking down.

"Well... those are the men who broke into my home, the ones that tried to capture me. Those are the men I excaped from." with that she sighs, remembering what happenned a few nights ago in her home. How Terrified she truly was, but never really showed it. She couldnt, she wouldnt give them the satisfaction of knowing they got to her, that they scared her. She wouldn't have seemed strong, she'd be just as they said she was, a scared little girl.

Treize just laughs softly, quite amused at what she'd just said. She suddenly feels lightheaded as she catches his smile, suprized at how he's actually capable of showing emotion. "They deserved it, they were ordered that if they found a teenager, or female, that they were not to harm her, that they were to be gentle and show the manners that they learned in training. When we recieved their reports they were punished and put on probation. If they do try anything, press this button here... " he passes her a small device with a button, so small that it could fit anywhere and go unnoticed. "... and we'll get to you in seconds."

"Really sir, you dont have to. I can take care of myself just fine." She said with a slight huff at the end, her eyes trailing up to his again then getting lost, as she decides to change the subject. She clips the small pager on the back of her pants, which OZ had so generously provided and then changed her into while she was out cold. "So where's the food? I'm starvin'!" she says with a slight smile.

Treize nods to a few tables, all filled with various types of food. "Right over there Miss.... what was your name again? Oh! That's right, you never told me. It would be an honnor to know at least your first name, or a nickname for that matter." He said with a smile, which was ever so charming to her. She finds herself staring again as she shakes her head and begins to speak, heading over to the table and grabbing some creamed corn and a few biscuts. "I never thought I'd see you smile.... you never smile..."

He just looks at her puzzled, wondering how she knew that he hardly ever smiled. "Your family did know something, or selse, you wouldnt have... you would have gone willingly..." He just stared at her for a moment in wonder and disbeleif, he had so hoped that her family didnt know all that information. He hated to have to imprison such a young girl, with such a kind and innocent heart.

"No.. I... I dont know... The only reasnon I know anything about you is beacuse I watch a show called Gundam Wing, and it... it has you in it... and Zechs.. and the gundams.... This is all like a dream to me. Standing here and eating with the most powerful man in the universe. You hold all these people's lives in your hands." she sighs softly as she sits at a table and thinks, then speaks again. "And with one word, you will desroy those lives... and those people will become as slaves. Vendors will lose most of their profit because your soldiers will feel far to superior to pay for what they use and eat."

"No, that's not how I want it to be at all. You dont understand me, no one ever has." he says with a sigh and frown. He's finally showing his true feelings aout this war. She cant help but feel sad for him, she'd rebuked him for something he didnt really didnt want to do. She understood more than anyone what it was like to be forced to do womething that you really didnt feel was right, just because you've been told it's what the world needs.
