There are so many sites everywhere that deserved to be recognized. Some are the ones that everyone know about and everyone love. Others are smaller, harder to find, but just as wonderful. I really think that the many site owners out there who spend obscene amounts of time and effort into their sites, and provide so much enjoyment for the fans, deserve to be awarded and thanked. I know that the Fansite Awards can't possibly give the great sites and their owners all the special treatment that they deserve, but I do hope that the awards will bring some joy to the webmasters and mistresses, so that they know even more how much they're appreciated, and the on-line fan-dom wouldn't be the same without their contributions, from sites to transcripts, to fan-fiction, and much more. It's a little sappy, I know...just ignore me and start nominating! ;-)
