1

Adam Vinatieri

IND

What do you get when you add the best clutch kicker on one of the most powerful offensive teams?  #1 kicker available.  IND may score less TD’s due to Edge’s departure, so more opportunities for Vinatieri.

2

Neil Rackers

ARZ

Rackers put up ungodly FG numbers for a kicker last year, but his PAT’s suffered due to their lack of getting in the endzone.  Edge’s presence should help in getting more PAT attempts as well as more drives getting to the redzone.

3

Mike Vanderjagt

DAL

Vanderjagt is a very good and accurate kicker.  Even though is clutch kicking is in doubt, that doesn’t really play a factor in FF.  He should get numerous opportunities on the Cowboys this year.

4

Shayne Graham

CIN

Cincinnati’s offense should be as good as last year to provide Graham with a lot of attempts.  It may be slow the first few weeks as Palmer comes back from injury, but by the end of the season, he will be golden.

5

Josh Brown

SEA

Seattle’s offense has returned except for Jurevicious.  Maybe a few more FG chances will come from that departure.  Very consistent point producer every week with very few bad games.  Something to be said for that as an owner.

6

David Akers

PHI

Akers should rebound this year as PHI’s distraction is gone.  I think his FG opportunities will rise as his PAT’s attempts go down.  Similar to Rackers’ year last year.

7

Lawrence Tynes

KC

KC’s offense will be as good as usual.  The hardest part will be in predicting Tynes off-field behavior and support now that Vermiel is gone.  I equate the risk in drafting him as Janikowski was a few years ago.

8

Jason Elam

DEN

Denver’s offense will produce yards and points.  Elam should hold his own as usual.

9

Jay Feely

NYG

Feely had a exceptionally good year last year.  I expect him to have a good year as Manning gets better, but not quite as good as last year.

10

Jeff Reed

PIT

Now that Bettis has retired, PIT’s offense may not score as often in the red zone.  Reed is very reliable and has the trust of Cowher.

11

Matt Stover

BAL

The only reason Stover is this high on the list is because of the trade for Steve McNair.  His opportunities probably doubled as compared to what he may have seen with Boller at the helm.

12

John Kasay

CAR

I would like Kasay better, if Carolina was not so good at getting into the endzone with Steve Smith.  Luckily Stephen Davis is gone which should help with more FG chances.

13

Ryan Longwell

MIN

Longwell has been a consistent point producer over the years.  He left a bad GB squad for a okay MIN squad that may produce a lot of yards and chances for him to score.  Longwell has a lot of upside this year, but the risk is during first few weeks of the season when they are still learning the West Coast Off.

14

Martin Gramatica

NE

At the time of this posting, Gramatica is the starter so watch this play out.  NE’s offense is always consistently getting to the red zone which is great if you have their kicker.  The question is can Gramatica kick in the snow accurately.  This is a question we have not had to ask for a long time.

15

Todd Peterson

ATL

ATL will be a playoff team, so you will get many opportunities for points.

16

Jeff Wilkins

STL

Now that Martz is gone and Linehan is in, what will the offense do?  Less turnovers may help Wilkins numbers, but will the new offense be productive?

17

Matt Bryant

TB

As Simm’s gets more experience, Bryant’s chances should increase.  Having Clayton back for a full year should help as well.

18

Josh Scobee

JAC

I think JAC’s offense will be worse with the retirement of Jimmy Smith, but he always scored 7-10 TD’s a year, so a few of those may turn into FG attempts.

19

Sebastian Janikowski

OAK

The potential for OAK to score a lot of points is there, but who knows, it’s the Raiders.

20

Nate Kaeding

SD

Kaeding dropped due to Rivers being the starter and learning on the fly.  LT and Gates are TD machines, so his attempts are never that high.

21

Olinda Mare

MIA

Saban is building a very good team, and Mare will probably be a good waiver wire pickup later in the season.  Harrington will be the starter until Culpepper gets back, and that is one scary thought.

22

Robbie Gould

CHI

If Grossman and Griese are able to stay healthy, then Chicago will score points.  Otherwise you may need to drop Gould and find someone else.

23

Kris Brown

HOU

Brown was a good kicker on bad/underperforming offensive team.  Maybe  he gets more chances due to Moulds’s addition as well as Kubiak’s coaching.

24

John Hall

WAS

Hall is on a good team, but he has a tendency to get hurt.  Backup at best.

25

Billy Cundiff

GB

GB cannot be as bad as last year.  He will be a backup at best.

26

Rian Lindell

BUF

Lindell was a Jeckyl and Hyde kicker last year due to the offense having the same personality.  A new coach and new system may not help things, but Jauron is a conservative coach which may help him in his FG attempts.

27

Mike Nugent

NYJ

Nugent could be a sleeper is Pennington stays healthy.

28

Rob Bironas

TEN

Tennessee was very competitive last year.  The question is when will Vince Young start, and how will the offense fare.  You are better off waiting and watching if possible.

29

John Carney

NO

NO could not play as bad as they did last year, but a new coach/new system affects offenses.

30

Jason Hanson

DET

Now that Harrington is gone, and Martz is in, the upside is there for Hansen.

31

Phil Dawson

CLE

Too many concerns on offense to choose, although he has a powerful leg.

32

Joe Nedney

SF

SF offense, enough said.
