GLAY
GLAY is an extremely popular Japanese band started by Kubo Takuro. Around 1988, Takuro realized that he didn't like the hard punk rock sound of the current band he was in, Guest-apo, and so he decided to start his own band--GLAY. WTFudge is GLAY supposed to mean, you ask? Oh yes, it has a meaning. Takuro didn't want his band to be entirely rock (black), but he didn't want it to be entirely pop (white) either. Mix the two together, and what do you get? Gray. The mispelling of gray is their way of being "original", and so that's how you get GLAY. Gu-re-i. :D Since their indies album, Hai to Daiyamondo, and their first single, RAIN, GLAY has been super popular and has released 9 albums and 32 singles to date.
