WOW! I would have to say that the kickoff youth event was a big success. I counted that there were 22 people that came to this youth event, which is just AWESOME! We decided to start the year off with a games night at the church.
Then we played The Name Game. This turned out to be an interesting game with many miscues and many interesting and funny mistakes. Um, people no one picked a duck, lol. After this game we numbered off and split into two teams. We played a game of Mafia. It was fun to play that game with a large number of people. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe the Mafia won in both groups. YA!!! GO MAFIA!!! lol. If you can't tell I was one of the Mafia. YA!
 After Mafia we got a little time to rest while we ate some ice cream. Yummm, Neapolitan ice cream. Then it was time for the pictures. Many of the youth brought pictures from their summer holidays. Each person took a turn and told their hightlight (s) of the summer. There were many trips taken and many interesting stories were told. Some of the places youth group members went to this sumer were BC, Regina, Niagara Falls, Canada's Wonderland, many places in Saskatchewan, Ottawa, and any went to camp. All in all I think everyone had a great summer.
After the picture presentations we went to the youth room to start the game of fugitive. With the number of people we had crammed into the youth room it was hot. By the end of the fugitive game many of us were sore and sweating like crazy. There is nothing like running on pure adreniline and running as hard as you can for an hour. Wheww, I'm starting to warm up just thinking about it. Oh in case you would like to know, the BLUE team won 74-39. GO BLUE! GO BLUE! Okay, I confess I was on the Blue team. lol After fugitive we went outside to cool off and that was the end of our first youth event. I hope everyone who came had a blast!!!!
