Our Church History

Kyler Baptist Mission began in November 1976 in an abandoned building just down the street from our present location at the corner of CR.125 and CR.127.

Kyler Baptist Church joined the Black Creek Association and the Southern Baptist Convention in early 1977.

The original building was moved to the present location and another building was acquired and moved to this location. The spelling of the name was changed from Kyler to Cuyler Baptist Church soon after.

The name was again changed to First Baptist Church of Cuyler. Our first pastor was Rev.James Conner who served until Rev. Saunders began serving as pastor. Our last Pastor was Rev. Al Dorminey who recently left to go into Evangelism. At present Dr. Dorman Landtroop is our Interim Pastor until God leads us to the man that He has prepared to serve as our new Pastor.
