Anirudh’s 2nd birthday is fast approaching (Aug 11 ‘04). We planned to have a party on
Aug 14 ‘04, as 11th falls on a Wednesday. Decided to have the party at the Woodlands
Indian Restaurant at Artesia. We have been shopping around over the last one-week for
his birthday dress, party favors; return gifts for the invitees, deciding the
menu etc. We were also planning on designing an invitation for the party.

August 11, 2004 - Happy Birthday Anirudh !!!
Today is Anirudh’s 2nd birthday. Sathish bought a cake for him when he returned from
work and we made Anirudh cut that. It was a nice day and I recollected all the events
that happened this day, two years back!! Here are some pictures from his birthday.

Anirudh’s 2nd birthday party went on very well in the evening. All the guests that
we had invited made it to the party. It was a nice get together after a very long time.
Earlier in the afternoon, Sathish, Anirudh and my in-laws went to Porto’s Bakery to
pick up the cake. They got back home by 4:00 p.m. We all got ready and left for the
party at 5:00 p.m. We got delayed a little bit while picking up some balloons on our
way and we made it to the party hall around 6:20 p.m. Our friends Kavitha, Murali and
Shankar arrived shortly after that and they all decorated the hall quickly. Soon after
that, everyone arrived and Anirudh cut the cake at 7:30 p.m. An excellent dinner
followed this. It was almost close to mid-night by the time we got back home.
Many thanks to our friends Kavitha, Murali, Shankar and Raghav who stayed till the           very end and helped us clean the place.
Here are some pictures from the party.

Today’s appointment was at 3:30 p.m. After I checked in, the nurse Karen (Nati was not
there today) did the routine tests. I had to wait for a long time to meet Dr. Lurvey.
Anirudh started getting a little restless. Finally Dr. Lurvey came at 4:10 p.m. He said
I was 25 weeks and 4 days along then. He checked the baby’s heartbeat and mentioned that
the baby is doing absolutely fine. He mentioned that I was also doing very very normal.
Dr. Lurvey mentioned that my blood pressure was absolutely normal (it was a little higher           during the last visit) and also there was no protein detected in the urine (during the
last visit, my urine showed presence of protein in traces).
I was also having a sharp pain every now and then on the right side of my chest and I
mentioned this to Dr. Lurvey. Also added that I had the same problem, during my first
pregnancy too. He mentioned that it is the region of gall bladder and unless this pain
is accompanied by nausea and vomiting, I don’t have to bother too much about it.
He said that it is very difficult to see the gall bladder in the ultrasound when I am
this far along in pregnancy and suggested that we could do one later, if the pain continues           even after delivery.
Other than this, I had a couple of questions, which Dr. Lurvey answered patiently. He
asked me to come back for my next visit after 4 weeks and take the glucose-screening test,           which is normally done between the 24th and 28th weeks of pregnancy, to test for           gestational diabetes. The appointment was accordingly made for Sept 13 ’04. I could not get an           appointment with Dr. Lurvey, as he wasn’t available. Instead, I will be meeting
          Dr.Mikael Brisinger.

Taylor Woodrow Homes is opening its model homes in the Woodbury community in Torrance.
We were so excited to see our model home. All of us went there in the morning and
were really thrilled on seeing the same. Sathish and I have already started talking about           shopping things for our new home and discussing ideas for interiors.
