Sathish’s parents left for India today. Their flight was in the afternoon. After
seeing them off at the airport, we went to select flooring for our new home.
September 13, 2004
Today’s appointment was at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Brisinger. I checked in at 2:50 p.m.
The nurse Ms. Rosa Bera, gave me a special glucose solution, which tasted like
orange soda pop. I finished drinking that at 3:05 p.m. and then met Dr. Brisinger.
Again, it was all very quick. He did a quick ultarasound scan of the baby, since he
had misplaced his hand held Doppler somewhere that morning. He mentioned that the
baby is doing absolutely fine and asked me to come back and meet Dr. Lurvey in 4 weeks.
An hour later, I went down to the laboratory and my blood sample was taken to check
the blood sugar level.
Ms. Bera had initially told me not to eat or drink anything after drinking the
special glucose solution and till the blood sample was drawn. She also told
me that if the readings were abnormal, someone from the clinic would call me.
The next appointment is on Oct 8 ’04 with Dr. Lurvey.
