Dream on Male and Female
Part 2

Now I want you to realise that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. (1 Cor.11:3)

These words may seem like if women are seen less valuable by Yahweh, since people are used to seeing power as what we should strive for in order to be respected and loved. That is the complete opposite of how Yahweh sees it!

Jesus called them together and said; You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matt.20:25-28)

Now, who has Yahweh really exalted? In fact the women have been privileged, as have the men who He has put as their head so that they may serve their wives. In Elohim, power is service. Have a look at this:

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
(Matthew 6:9-13) And here we usually add:
"For thine is the Kingdom,
the Power and the Glory.
For ever and ever. Amen."

Have you ever thought of the fact that when Yah'shua (Jesus) instructed us on how to pray. He didn't tell us to do anything for God. The one who has all the power is acting like a servant to us! Even to the extent of dying for our sake. That is what headship truly is about. Yah'shua haMashiach (Jesus Christ) serves His bride, a true king serves his people, a true husband serves his wife, and a true wife serves her children.

Now, letting people do as they please is not service. Yahweh instructs us because he loves us, and he has even been bothered to formulate commandments that will keep us safe and happy. His care never ends! That is what husbands are supposed to do for their families, in thread with what Yahweh has first instructed them. And mothers are supposed to do the same for their children. If any of these links are dysfunctional - people will suffer.. On the other hand. Children who are the object of the most care, must trust the ones that take care of them; their mother, father and Yahweh. Wives must trust the care of their husband and Yahweh, and the husbands need to trust Yahweh.

When people fulfill their functions both in the family and in the wider Body of the Messiah, all are happy and at peace. If some try to be what they are not, many get hurt. On the other hand, Yahweh shows men trust by expecting them to heed Him, men trust their wives to do the same, and mothers show that they believe in their children, when they bother to instruct them. It is all connected. One is dependant on the other, and cannot be separated.

Now lets have a glimpse outside the family frame and have a look at the roles we have in the Body of Yah'shua haMashiach (Jesus Christ):

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honourable we treat with special honour. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. (1 Cor.12:20-27)

The same principle operates here. We are all indispensable, and therefore it is important that we do our part. No matter which part it is. All are needed and none are more valuable to God than another. We all have challenges, duties, gifts, and we will all be content when we do what we were made to do. None is above another, just different. May Yahweh reveal your wonderful calling to you, so that you may become a "really useful Christian" is my prayer. Amen.
