After two weeks at college, I discovered this small, friendly, pentecostal church. What first attracted me to it was the fact it had a youth group, for after the youth group I had attended back home, I was hoping to find another one in Birmingham. Unfortunately the youth group closed after the Christmas of my first year (1995 /6).

I attended the evening services there if there was not a service at St. B's in the evenings. They only tended to play modern songs, and someone once commented it's a shame they do not play any more traditional ones aswell. I hadn't really noticed this until it was pointed out to me, but I found the worship and teaching satisfactory. The people of California have also blessed me through their individual testimonies of what God has done both in their lives, and the life of the church.
