Do you know the real meaning of Christmas?
Somehow I don't think you do.
It's a time of celebration of the one
Who came and died for you.
He was born in a stable,
And laid in a manger low.
Some wise men followed his star
(The Bible tells us so).
When they got there they gave him gifts
Of francincense, gold and myrrh.
An angel of the Lord came down from heaven,
And that's how the shepherds heard!
They left their flocks and travelled for days
To see this tiny child.
When they got there, they gave him a lamb.
He was so meek and mild.
Now you know the real meaning of Christmas
You can go and shout for joy!
For indeed the child was God's own son,
And Jesus was the boy.
