Furry O's Ferret Rescue

We don't really go around with an ambulance and rescue
neglected or abused animals. Most of the time good people
who really love animals realize that they can no longer
give their ferrets the attention and love they deserve.
When people bring ferrets to us we provide whatever medical
attention they need, give them a good clean home, good
food, fresh water, and plenty of hugs so they won't get
homesick. Then we look for a new home where they can
be happy and loved.

About five years ago after accumulating five or so of our
own ferrets (one pet store ferret, one pedigree, and four we
got from rescues), we got our first call. It was a friend who
knew of someone who no longer wanted to keep their ferrets.
And so Sammy and Puck became our first rescues. Since
then we have taken in almost 100 ferrets. Most we have
found good homes for, some we have kept because of
chronic illness or old age, and some sadly have died. We
now have over 50 ferrets who are permanently in our care.
We have strictly used our own resources and the generosity
of other ferret lovers to continue to maintain the rescue and
to provide a safe and healthy environment for our furry
friends. As long as we have the resources, we will continue
to do so.

If you already own a ferret and have learned that they are among
the most devoted and loving pets, consider adopting your next
from a rescue.
