Chapter 5

Kurapica yawned. Kaoru cooks breakfast and take a bath. Kurapica wakes the others, since today is the day of the quiz. (I think, I don't know the proper word for this event, just like in the CCS) Killua and Kurapica are going together. Leorio and Gon together while the questioner is Kaoru. I mean, one of the questioners. She's on the last stop. The winner will get two tickets to go to the amusement park, so their target is the first place.

They go to the school and went to the principal's office. "Yeah, come in." "Hi," "Go to the field, it's where the contest held." "Okay," "And Kaoru, go there through the back gate." "Okay," So they went to the field.

"Well, contestants, this is the first question! This is the picture of a star made from ten matches, can you make another star from this ten matches? If you know the answer, go to that tent and get the next question, and go to the next tent." explains Heiji. "Star, huh?" "Yeah, I know the answer, let's go, Kurapica." Killua extends his hand. "Uh, okay," says Kurapica, holding Killua's hand.

They walk to the first stop, they saw Kazuha there. "So, do you know the answer? Total question are 3," "Yeah," "Here, show me." Kurapica stares at Killua quizzically, did he really knew the answer? Well, at least she should believe him. Killua arrange the matches into star's kanji letter. "Hoshi?" asks Kurapica. Killua nods. "You're right, this is the next question, and where the next stop is." They went outside the tent.

"Hm? What's the next question?" "What creature has four feet in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the evening?" "I've heard it before, err. ah, human! That' right!" "Human?" "Heheh, it's your turn to stares at me quizzically," "Heheh, so, you stares at me quizzically in the first tent?" "Huh?" "You've said it just now." "Err, well, are we going to the next stop or not?" asks Kurapica, rather blushing. Killua nods.

"The next stop is in the room where you saw something spiky and brown." Killua reads the note. "Spiky and brown? Spiky. brown. spiky. brown." "Koganei?" "Huh? Koganei?" "Yeah, Koganei's hair is brown and spiky, isn't it?" Kurapica nods, "Let's go." So they went to the faculty room.

"Huh? The room is dark, and it is creepy." says Kurapica, gripping Killua's shirt. "Oy, Kurapica, walk beside me," "O-- Okay." "So.. You. Know.. The. answer..?" a spooky voice spoke. Kurapica grips Killua's shirt again. "Yeah, we know the answer, and come out Koganei, you're so good at imitating voices." "Okay, just a sec." Koganei is wearing a vampire costume, Kurapica screamed and grips Killua's shirt tighter.

"Oy, Kurapica, no need to scream, that's Koganei." "Oh, sorry," she let go of Killua's shirt. "I didn't forbid you to grip my shirt, okay? But no need to scream, -_-!" "So, what's the answer?" asks Koganei. "Oh, err, what's that Kura-ch-- Kurapica?" "Eh? Human." "That's right, here's the next question, and the final stop, she'll give you two the tickets if you two succeed. Well, this contest is ended after that," "Okay, see you." So they left the faculty room.

"What's the question?" asks Kurapica. "There are three cousins, they met two times a day, every time they met, it last for one second. Who are they?" "And, where is the last stop?" "Follow the lavender's fragrance, it'll guide you to the last stop." "Lavender? Does that mean the lavender's garden?" "Maybe, we'll think of the answer while walking to the garden."

They walk to the garden slowly, they think about the answer. "Oh, I think the answer is.," they both said in unison. "You first," said Killua. "No, you first," "Well, why don't we say it together?" "Okay," "I think the answer is clock," they both said in unison. "Eh?" Kurapica smiles. "Well, let's go!"

They arrived at the last stop. "Finally, you two come, we made decision, if one of you gets the prize, we'll go to the amusement park," "That's great," says Kurapica. "Yeah, so what's the answer?" "The clock," "That's right, you two were very clever, these are the tickets, let's search for Gon and Leorio, my duty is finished." They went to Koganei's office and found the two there.

"Hey! Kurapica! Killua! You two already get the prize?" asks Gon excitedly. "Yeah," Kurapica nods. "So, let's go to the amusement park!" shouts Gon. Killua nods, they went to the amusement park, they got separated and agreed that they'll met in the restaurant at five o'clock.

Kurapica forced Killua to ride many rides. They're having much fun, if not because Killua feel dizzy at first and they stopped playing for an hour.

Now, let's see what the three doing. They're stalking Killua and Kurapica. "Um, I think we shouldn't stalked them! They're having their own happiness!" says Kaoru and Gon. "Baka! We're helping them so they will have a good time!" "But." "No buts! We're preventing anyone from ruining their date!" "DATE??!?!?!?!?!" "SSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" "Oops, sorry,"

Gon looked around. "I think there's no one want to ruined their * ahem * something called 'date'." "That's right, Leorio, we shouldn't stalk them, let just play something until five o'clock," they looked around. "Aaaahhh!!!" they shouted in unison. "Hisoka and Machi!" said Gon while pointing at Hisoka and Machi. "Shizuku and Shalnark!" said Kaoru. "Pakunoda and Kuroro!" said Leorio. "Err, looks like everyone are having their own happiness, let's go, don't bother them."

"A-Alright," said Leorio, at last. So they went to the Ferris wheel.

Now, let's see what's happening to Killua and Kurapica. They're eating at the restaurant. "Killua.. I'm having a great time," said Kurapica softly. "Huh? What did you say just now?" "No, forget about it,"

When they're waiting for the other, they sat on the chair in front of the restaurant. Kurapica sit closer to Killua. "It's snowing." "Of course, it's still January." "Snow. how beautiful." "You like snow, Kurapica?" "Yeah, but it feels cold." "I like the color of snow, it's so pure and white." Killua hugged Kurapica. "Do you feel warm, now?" "Yeah," says Kurapica. " I remember the first time I told you that I'm a girl." "But, we're near the lake." Kurapica nodded.

"Let's play on the snow after the snow got thick, I think Fuuko and company wouldn't mind if we asked them," suggests Killua. "Yeah, but it's cold to play snow outside." Killua hugged Kurapica tighter. "Thanks, you're warm, even though you're an assassin." "Not every assassin is cold, right?" asks Killua, smiling. Kurapica nodded.

"And why don't we celebrate New Year? Though it's late, it's okay," Killua nodded. "Let's ask the other." "It must be-- " Kurapica's words are cut off. Killua kissed her. She kissed back and they broke apart. "Your lips are warm and sweet. Just like the first time we kissed." Kurapica smiled at him, "Yours too." And they kissed again. This is the best day ever, for Kurapica.

The others went to the restaurant. "Let's go home now," says Gon. "Yeah." So they went home. Killua told them about their idea. "That's great! I'll tell Fuuko." exclaims Kaoru excitedly. "And you two didn't do anything unexpected, right?" asks Leorio, grinning evilly to them. "Eh? Why did you ask that?" "Hee hee, you blushed, I'll take it as a 'yes'."

The other three went to another room. "Leorio no baka! A little bit more and they'll know that we're stalking them after we ride that Ferris wheel!" "Sorry, but they're so romantic." "That's true, Killua and Kurapica is compatible." "Yea, I envy them." says Leorio. "Because you don't have any girlfriend?" asks Kaoru. "Of course! Killua is so lucky, he has a beautiful, caring, gentle, kind, elegant and well-mannered girlfriend!" "With your personality like that, who would want to be your girlfriend?!" asks Kaoru.

"Well, and the girls among us are few." says Gon. "Yeah, but I didn't interested in having a boyfriend." says Kaoru. "Well, the only available girl among us already becomes Killua's girlfriend." "Argh, why should I?" "What?" "I want to have a girlfriend, like Kurapica, beautiful, caring, gentle, kind, elegant and well-mannered, plus, she is not tomboyish." says Leorio, pointing Kaoru that dressed like a boy. "What do you care?! I'm tomboyish, so what?!" "That's not his type." "That's fine. I'm not interested in having a boyfriend, clear enough?" "Yeah."

Kurapica and Killua were taking a bath, in the shower room. Kurapica washed her hair. After finished, she went to Kaoru's room. "Hi, Kurapica." "What?" "Oh, I think you forgot, that I call you." "Of course not." "Sit here," Kurapica sit on a chair, in front of a mirror, a big mirror.

"Well, now let's start." Kaoru combs Kurapica's hair, it grew long until it reached her neck. She applies some make-up, and she gave Kurapica her only dress. Err, not a dress. A light blue blouse, with a long and tight blue skirt, she gave Kurapica her pendant that her friend gave, in her tenth birthday. And she pinches Kurapica's hair with hair tweezers. "Wow! You're pretty!" "Uh?" She looks at the mirror. "Now, let's go out."

"Whoa! Is that you, Kurapica?" asked the others after Kurapica come out. "You're pretty!" exclaims Killua. "Thanks." "Now, we're going to my friend's birthday party." says Kaoru. "Who?" "Himura Kenshin." "What?!" "I'm only kidding." "Who?" "Kailua." "Huh? A girl or a boy?" "A girl, just like Kurapica." "You're a guy?" asks Leorio. "No, idiot, what I mean is, she is beautiful, caring, gentle, kind, elegant, and well-mannered, just like Kurapica, but, of course not as beautiful as Kurapica. Right, Killua?" says Kaoru, grinning to Killua. "Err, yes." "Okay, let's go."
