Later.....much later, Angie pulled JC out of the tent. "Come on, JC. A bargain is a bargain. Play fair now."
He let out a frustrating groan as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulders. "How you managed to find my weak spot that fast, I will never know."
She grinned as she looked up at him. "It's a gift, I guess."
He chuckled as nuzzled her neck. "A gift that
shouldn't be wasted. "Come on, Morgan, I know you want to go back in the tent."
She shivered and was this close to giving in, but she held her ground. "Nope," she said as she twirled around to face him. "I want to go hiking with you," she said and then wrapped her arms around his neck.
"And the sooner we go hiking, the sooner you and I get back and...."
"And then we can go neck some more?" he asked
hopefully.
She let out a laugh and then gave him a loud smacking kiss on the lips. "If that's what you want."
"Well, hell," he said as he grabbed her hand and
pulled her. "What are we waiting for."
She laughed. "There's your spirit," she said.
"Shouldn't we bring some water?"
He shook his head. "Nope, I don't intend on staying out too long."
"I bet," she mumbled. "What about something to eat?"
"I've already had my breakfast, thank you," he teased.
"Oh, why you little..." She gave him a punch on the arm. "When did you turn into a bad boy."
He stopped to ponder. "Let's see, you know I don't
know. Maybe Joey's actions are rubbing off on me or something."
She laughed as they made their way through a small
trail through the woods. "Those boys are a bad influence on you, Joshua Scott."
He chuckled. "Yep, sorry to say they are."
She tugged at their joint hands, causing him to turn around and surprised him with a slow seductive kiss.
"Not that I'm complaining."
He let out a shakey sigh. "Morgan, if you want to take this hike I suggest you behave."
She grinned as she pulled away. "I'll behave I
promise."
He gave her a wink. "Now let's get this over with."
They continued through the woods, and didn't go far when Angie noticed a rocky slant. "Hey, JC, let's climb this."
He walked up to it and looked up. "Are you crazy?"
"Come on, chicken," she said as she started to climb it. "It's not steep at all and it has a nice slant."
He looked up and shrugged. "Yeah, it looks pretty
safe," he said and then began to climb up behind her. "I bet it has a killer view up top."
"That's the best part about climbing," she grunted as she grabbed hold of a rock and pulled her self up
higher. "You never know what you'll find at the top."
JC stopped midway up and then looked down and laughed. "You know, Chris would be having a fit if he was me
right now."
"Is the whimp scared of heights?" she asked as she
kept climbing.
"Yeah," he laughed as he continued. "Terrified."
She laughed. "Hey, we're almost at the top."
"Thank god," JC gasped. "Man, I should be in better shape then this."
"A lot different from dancing, eh?" she teased.
"Listen, Morgan, it's a lot harder then it looks."
"I know," she laughed. "I have to admit....you boys can dance."
"Well, you know.....we try."
Angie made it to the top and let out a breath. "Whew, that was work. But well worth it."
JC reached the top and put his hands on his hips.
"Wow," he said as he took in the view. "That's like...woah."
"Pretty, isn't it?" she said as she stared at the
snowy caps in the distance.
"Very," he said as he sat on a rock. "Hey, Angie, be careful. You're a little close to the edge."
"I'm fine," she said as she looked out on the horizon.
"Oh, hey look at the eagle!" She exclaimed and when she took a step, she twisted her ankle. "JC!" screamed
as she lost her balance and slipped over the edge.
