1. The Golden Saucer - the famous casino/gambling resort/arena ran by Deo. This place is as booming as ever and with many attractions for the person with money. There are many levels and types of entertainment within to help the patron lose and win money in exorbitant amounts, such as card games, chokobo races, other games that test your strategy, arena fights and more.
a. If you are unlucky enough, you may just be found out about some crime that you may or may not have done, and sent to the Desert Prison. It is said that no one escapes here unless you are selected by the manager down below to race in the Chocobo races. Be cautious here as there are a lot of criminals that really did do offenses and will as soon take your life as they will pocket some of your Gil.
2. Balamb Gardens - The famous training ground for sEEds and the city just a bit away are there to be visited. You can enter sEEd training if you wish or see the coastal city where Zell grew up.
3. Nibelheim - The infamous town where Shinra conducted many experiments and their mansion stands, as well as the hometown of Tifa and Cloud, holds many mysteries. Said to have burnt down years ago, the town has been restored.
a. Mount Nibel - the Shinra reactor where more experiments were performed and secrets await.
4. Midgar - The city of several well to do Corporations and citizens as well as the very impoverished. The plate above is where Shinra dominates and maintains rule while below in the slums and other areas, people attempt to survive with the creatures created by the 6 reactors. Shinra has some old familiar faces that have returned and reign over it.
a. 7th Heaven - a bar located in the slums that is owned by Tifa Lockheart.
5. Shumi Village - This area is difficult to get to and secretely holds an alien race, which might be the actual original residents of the planet. Beneath their location is the fabled City of the Ancients which holds many surprises of its own.
6. Alexandria - The home of Princess Garnet, that is very beautiful and yet holds its secret store of corruption.
7. Evil Forest - The dark forest where evil creatures abound and await the foolish person brave enough to cross through its territory. Found outside of it are the Mist and the Ice Caverns.
8. The Grand Castle of Lindblum - The entire city is held safely within the confines of a humungous castle and walls to hold out creatures of the Mist. This location has various items unattainable elsewhere and many sights to envision. One can also partake in the Festival of the Hunt.
9. Burmecia - The internalized mountain kingdom that is home to Freya.
a. Qu Swamp - the hometown..err..swamp area of Quina. Not much to do here but catch frogs but still it is yet there.
10. Wutai - The once beautiful city of a xenophobic people much like ancient Japanese culture, it is now somewhat downtrodden and attempting to recover its losses by an attack on Shinra several years ago. It has it's glory and the people have resorted to tourism to try to reobtain wealth as well as selling items they used to keep to themselves.
11. Costa del Sol - A very hot and tropical beach/resort. There are many things to do here and drink margaritas while doing them. Sit back and enjoy the sun.
12. Deling City - ruled by the Sorceress Edea, this location is under martial law but still is a sight worth viewing.
13. Esthar - This place is extremely xenophobic and one is not welcome unless he/she is admitted by a higher person in the society. There are many things to see here and the technology is extemely advanced. Two corporations that be said to be on a level with Shinra are located within called Biotech and Morningstar.
