My World of Cars - Large and Small

Hi, I'm Ross.  I've loved cars since I was old enough to know what they were!  For pretty much all of my 50 years, I've been a die-hard old car enthusiast.  As a child, my toys were all cars; nothing else grabbed my fancy.  I was able to tell different cars apart from a very early age.  Once when I was not yet 4 years old, I was in the barber shop with my father, and I was calling out the names of all the cars which went past -- and even picked out a Dodge with Oldsmobile hubcaps!  The barbers got a real kick out of it.

My lifelong love of old cars continues to this day.  Currently, my wife Janice and I have several old cars -- Wadsworth, a '56 Imperial 4 door sedan (pictured below);  Leland, a '69 Cadillac convertible; Bunkie, a '63 Pontiac Cataline 9 passenger Safari; Clementine, a '72 Orange Volkswagen Beetle; Virgil, a '78 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 4 door; and Josephine, a '73 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 4 door sedan.  I am a member and past president of the Greater New York Region of the AACA, the Society of Automotive Historians, the National DeSoto Club, and the Walter P. Chrysler Club, and also participate in several on-line car clubs (The Online Imperial Club, Station Wagon Digest, and the Forward Look).

As if owning several old cars weren't enough, I also collect miniature and model cars -- at latest count,  about 3,200 (that's not a misprint!).  They range in size from 1/160th scale, all the way up to 1/12th.  The majority of the collection is 1/43rd scale, and covers models of cars from literally every corner of the globe.
This is Wadsworth, my '56 Imperial.  To learn more about him and the other cars we own, click  here.
