Morning after defeating Mokuren
Outside the school gate
(Recca runs up to the school gate, panting away...)
Recca: Hey guys, sorry I'm late! Princess, please forgive me!
(Recca and Yanagi looks lovingly into each others eyes...)
Fuuko: Err hem, we are right in front of the school. There are teachers about!
(Recca and Yanagi blush furiously.)
Domon: Who cares, Fuuko? There are so in love... like us!
(Domon stares lovingly at Fuuko. She punches him in return.)
F: Yeah, right! Where is Mikagami? Isn't he coming to school?
Yanagi: I don't know. Is he sick?
R: Mikagami sick?! I don't think so. He probably overslept or something.
Y: That isn't like Mikagami at all. Could something have happened to him?(Worried look in her eyes.)
R: Don't worry, Mikagami can take care of himself.
('Ding... Dong...' The school bell rings in the distance.)
D: The bell is ringing, we'd better go. Don't wait for Mikagami anymore.
F: (Whispered) Recca, wake up... The headmaster is walking around.
(Recca is still sleeping soundly and does not hear Fuuko.)
Y: Recca, you must wake up now, or else you'll get punished.
(Recca still snores ...)
F: Yanagi, the discipline master is coming nearer, if he catches Recca...
Exasperated look in Fuuko's eyes
Y: I don't know what to do. Recca has been so tired because of all the fights for me.
(Eyes brimming with tears, because she is so touched and upset.)
F: This is no time to cry. The head master! Sorry Recca...
(To Yanagi's shock, Fuuko pulls a sharp pin out and sticks it into Recca.)
R: YEOWWWWWWW!!!
(He jumps out, thinking another enemy has ambushed him, and whirls at his opponent.)
R: You coward! How dare you stab me in the back. Come and fight like a man.
(Recca sees his 'opponent')
R: Er... ops... Master, I really didn't mean it! Sorry, I er...
(Recca gulps and stares at Yanagi and Fuuko for help. Fuuko smiles sheepishly.)
Master: Hanabishi, isn't it?
(Smiles cruelly...)
Y: Fuuko, anything?
F: I can't hear anything.
(Ears pressed to the Principle's door.)
(Suddenly, a hand taps her should...)
F: What the... Domon, you gave me a fright! Don't do that.
D: So, Recca hasn't come out yet?
Y: No, oh Recca... I hope he's alright. (Eyes filling with tears again.)
D: Sorry I couldn't help. You guys were in front, and I was right at the back.
(Fuuko punches Domon on the head. Suddenly some yelling is heard. All lean with their ears pressed against the door.)
All: Ahh...
('Crash!'All of them fall on the ground, as the door opened.)
Master: So, what have we here?
All: (getting up) Er...nothing. Just passing by...
(All of them scrambled up and pretended to walk away. Recca comes out.)
R: Thanks Fuuko. Now I've got 2hrs of detention.
(Fuuko is not bothered at all.)
F: Well, you WERE sleeping and deserved to be punished.
R: Why you...
(Recca raises a hand to get back at Fuuko when Domon intercepts.)
D: You might be my friend, but I will not forgive anyone who dares hit Fuuko.
R: Oh yeah, you can't even defeat me and you want to protect Fuuko? Yeah right!
(Recca and Domon start quarreling and Fuuko and Yanagi walk off.)
F: Boys can be so childish sometimes.
Y: I guess Recca is acting in a rather silly way.
(Yanagi looks guilty because she does not want to talk bad about her beloved Recca.)
F: Ignore both of them. They're always fighting. We¡¯d better hurry to class.
(The 2 girls walk away, leaving the 2 oblivious boys fighting and yelling in the hallway.)
Teacher: Hanabishi, Ishijima?!
R & D:(gulp) Oops...
F: Don't tell me, both of you didn't do maths homework.
Y: Recca, you should be more hardworking.
T: Hanabishi, Ishijima! Are you both deaf? I want to see you both NOW!
F: Have fun...
R: What fun?!
T: Hananbishi!!!
(Recca runs over immediately)
At the Teacher's Table
T:Can someone please explain to me why both of you have been skipping classses lately?
R: Family problems. Er, I, er, sort of found my real mother and er, she is, er, kind of...(trails off, casting 'help me' glances at Domon)
D:(Doesn't understand at all) Recca, what's wrong with your eyes? Why do you keep blinking at me?
T:Enough of excuses! Your 2 female friends there skipped the same amount of school days; and I won't deny that I'm mad at them. But at least they managed to hand up ALL their homework on time! If they can, why can't you?!
D & R:(hangs head down in shame)
T: Ok, for punishment, you'll both have to finish your homework, and also 3 extra chapters, PLUS today's homework. AND you can do your homework right after school beacuse you get 2 hours detention today!
R:(sweating profusely) Sensei, can the punishment be lighter, because I...
T:(Cuts in)Shut up! I haven't finished yet! You will get 2 hours detention for each day you both fail to hand up the completed work. Which means that if you hand up your work tomorrow, you won't have anymore detentions. If not...(shrugging) then too bad. Ok, you may return to your seats.
R & D: (Dazed) Yes, Sensei...
F: Hey, you both got detention right>
Y: That means you can't bring me out today.
R:Hime, my precious Hime! I'm so sorry. I'll bring you out tomorrow! It's a promise. I'll finish ALL my homework tonight!
D: My darling Fuuko, I also promise to finish all my homework so we can...
F: (Slams a fist into Domon's face) Not a chance Domon, not a chance at all...
F: Umm, this is really good, Recca.
Y: Please thank Kagerou for us.
D: Recca, you are so lucky to have such a great mother.
(Recca jumping up and down in anger.)
R: Hey!!! Are you being my friends just because my mother's cooking is good?
(Fuuko and Domon thinking hard.)
D & F: Definitely!!!
(Recca snatched their lunchboxes away and looks crestfallen.)
Y: Recca,you know I'm your friend not becuase I like Kagerou's rice balls...
R: Hime, my dear Hime. You're always the best! (Looks angrily at his other 2 friends) Not like the 2 over there! Here, Hime, have more rice balls.
Y:Oh no Recca, I'm not hungry.
D:Hey, then can I have it?
R:(Smacks his hand away)No way! This is for my Hime and my Hime only!
Y:Oh Recca...
R:My Hime...
Suddenly a hand shoots out and steals a rice ball...
F:Hey, Recca! Someone's stealing your rice balls.
R: Oh yeah?! (Leaps out and catches the hand)
D:It's Tomo, he's the lackey of Komora.
R:(Twists Tomo's arm) So, who asked you to steal my Hime's rice balls?
Tomo:(squealing in pain)Ah, don't hurt me. I'll tell you, it's Komora.
R: Come on Domon, let's go find Komora. I want an explanation for my Hime.
Y:Recca, it's just a rice ball. If he wants one, let him have it!
R: No way! Come on Tomo, let's go find your friend! Hime, Fuuko, you'd both stay here. Domon, you in?
D:You bet!
F: (Watching the guys walk off) They're so childish. I wonder what would Mikagami do if he were here.
Y: Tokiya-sama would definitely NOT do the same...
F: But of course. He's so much more mature.
Y:(grinning evilly) Hey, Fuuko, since you keep praising Tokiya-sama, and he keeps saying how impressive you are, and since you're both NOT hitched, why don't you 2...
F:(blushing redly) Don't be silly, Yanagi. We're too different, complete opposites. It wouldn't work...
Y:(grin wideneing)Nonsense Fuuko. Haven't you heard that opposites attract each other?
F: Not like you and Recca I'd bet (Y blushes). Talking about Recca, here he comes with ...Uh-oh...
Y & F: Detention again...
R:...So I punched Komora, but Sensei happened to walk pass at that time.
D:(Nodding)And he pretended we were bullying him and we got caught.
R: Can you believe 6 hours of detention?
Y: We won't be going out for a very long time, right Recca?
R:(Smacks head) Oh Hime, it's all my fault!
Y: Never mind Recca, you got detention because of me. How could I blame you?
R: Hime...
Y: Recca...
R & Y: (Holds hands and stare into each other's eyes)
F:(Clearing her throat) Er, Recca, do tell me you've at least finished English!
R:(Snaps out of trance) Oh no! I totally forgot about English!
D: Me too! Ah....
Teacher: Ishijima, Hanabishi! Don't yell during class lessons. Oh yes, both of you haven't handed up your homework (Checking the record book) Or the previous one before that! Seems like you owe me many, many pieces of work... Come here now!
F: Seems like you're not going to see Recca for a very long time...
Y:You're right!
