General Order #2 - Rank in field issued 01/20/2001.
One of the by-law changes were voted upon and passed was the battle command
structure.  There has been confusion in the past with orders coming by
courier.  Therefore, all compnay commanders on the field and in camp will
hold the rank of Captain and will denote so on their collar.  If an
individual holds the rank higher within their organization or does a first
person impression this will in no way affect those postings.  Therefore,
within their own companies/organizations thier status does not change nor
does their impression become minimized, it does however make organization at
a battle easier.  This does not apply to living histories or personal
apperacnecs or prearranged impressions by the individual and event sponsors.

Gentleman,

Effective today, August 28th 2001, all NCO's and
enlisted men are required to have the correct bayonet
for their Weapons, and thus Bayonet must be part of
the accouterments they wear to all events. Please pass
this along to the men in your companys.

General Order #2

Gentleman,

Effective at Ceder Creek this year for Company and
Brigade level we will be using Hardee's Manual for
as our Company Drill Manual.

General Batten, will be using Caseys Manual for
Battalion Commands.

We know a lot of your units have used Hardee's in the
past and it will take some time to change over. But
from all the reports I have been given on Gilhams its
very similar to Hardee's, just easier on the men when
dealing with Manual of Arms.

We work on drill at Ceder Creek to help everyone
Adjust as quickly as possible.

YHS,
Captain John Miller
