Wind & Satellite

Information

The winds around Toronto and Lake Simcoe prevail from the west. That means they blow from the west. The winds can really come from any direction. However, the most common direction is between north-west & south-west. If you want to get clean on shore wind, there are only a few locations that are close by. On shore means the wind is blowing from the water to the shore. You need to be very careful if the wind is not on shore. You could be blown away from the shore out to sea which is extremely dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Keswick and Willow Beach are my favourite locations. Both are very good launch sites. The water is quite shallow along both shores making it easy for beginners and beach starting.
