Why "Five by Five"?

"Five by five" is a term used by the US Military. It is an old radio operators term basically meaning loud and clear. The radio signal was ranked from 1 to 5 in terms of clarity and also volume. So a perfect signal is "five by five".

"Five by Five" is also the catchphrase of Faith, the evil slayer in Buffy the Vampire slayer.....Best quote comes from Willow, describing her as 'this cleavagey slutbomb that walks around going "Check me out, I'm wicked cool, I'm five by five".'
