The Sussex Mineral & Lapidary Society celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1997. Membership has grown from 50-60 in the 1980's to its current level of around 135. Members are from East and West Sussex, Kent and Surrey. Meetings are held in Haywards Heath during the evening. About 50 members attend meetings and there is plenty of time for discussion, to view displays and have a cup of coffee.
