The ASA was founded on August 13, 1995 by Alfa DuFed, more modernly known as Atlanta, Alex, or something generally like that. Back then the ASA was known as the Atlantien Simulation Association because the first sim it offered was the Atlantien Sim. When the Atlantien sim had to be put on hiatus the group renamed to Allied Simulation Alliance.

Since then, the ASA has offered not only good, if undermanned, sims, but a friendly environment where the administrative staff is actually interested in the members and likes to great each new member personally. Opportunities for involvement in the running of the ASA are open to all players regardless of rank or prior experiance - we'll teach you everything you need to know.
