Family Eric is the youngest of three children in his family. He has a brother named Mario and a sister named Manon. His parents are both from Quebec. His father's name is Aurele and his mother's name is Gisele. Eric loves to water ski, play pool and listen to music. Eric is married. His wife's name is Manon. Hockey Career Eric has been the Flyers top defenseman since he joined Philadelphia in 1995. Prior to the Flyers he was also Montreal's best blue liner. Desjardins has remained reliable througout his career. Bob Clarke describes him as "the NHL's best kept secret". The secret seems to be out on this two-time all star.
