McGillis has always been an offensive defenseman beginning in
college (Northeastern University) and quickly placing himself as 
a great player with the Flyers. Dan isn't the fastest skater, but
 he is strong and isn't afraid to step up or handle the rough 
stuff. Dan is quickly becoming an integral part of the Flyers' 
power play unit.
