Post here introducing yourself or even just saying hi and meet some of the nice folks at the Forest of Shadows!
You can't post in this forum, but you can read the announcements that I post here occasionally--they often include important information, such as new features, rule changes, and information about special events.
Talk about anything and everything not concerning the RPG. Books, politics, movies, roleplaying, fantasy, and everyday life are among many perfectly valid topics. If nothing else, vote in this week's Pointless Poll and join in the current round of the Random Question Game.
Pretty much all the information in this forum is available on the site now, with the notable exception of examples to help you understand appropriate signature and image use.
Talk about anything having to do with the Forest that doesn't belong in another forum. Come here if you need a reply in your adventure, or if you're interested in becoming an Assistant Storyteller. Would you like to know more about the Forest, or share a cool idea you had? This is also the place for that.
This forum is the place for ideas and help about the board, the RPG, the world, or life in general. (Although we can't guarantee much help in the latter case.) We welcome your suggestions and we're happy to answer your questions.
Advertise here and only here. (Inobtrusive signature links are okay as long as your signature complies with the guidelines.) Advertise ezboards and fantasy or RPG related sites only--the only exception to this rule is that regular members may advertise their personal sites.
RPG
Post new character submissions here. Character submission topics also contain (in theory, at least) any relevant information about the character, so you should be sure to answer if a storyteller posts here with questions.
The main RPG forum--everyone's first adventure takes place entirely within the Forest, and characters may return here eventually. It's a mysterious, magical wood filled with odd creatures, peculiar places, and strange happenings, presided over by the enigmatic Lady of the Forest.
Briarsville is a thriving town situated just at the edge of the Forest where all characters begin their second adventure. It's also the home of the Rising Phoenix Tavern. Since getting to Briarsville requires going through the Forest, and one of the objectives of a character's first adventure is to reach Briarsville, a character cannot enter the Rising Phoenix until he or she completes an adventure.
The Land of Dreams in an unpredictable realm occasionally entered by current and past travelers in the Forest of Shadows when they dream. You can do more free-form roleplaying here, such as exploring background, participating in a challenge, or even just having fun with your character! Anything goes, and anyone can participate!
