Look at Nick's shirt! Go Nick, go Nick...

As you may or may not know, a little more than a year ago, I hated rap. But now, I love rap music. I love the beats, the lingo, the style, everything. Everything about it is just awesome. And there are a lot of really good rappers out there that I like. I thought I'd make a page to all of them, to let you know who I enjoy. With that outta the way, here you go.

Eminem: Incase you haven't read my section dedicated to him, I'll give you the shorted version. This man is amazing. Everything he does is so good. He's hot. He's funny. I love him. I understand that his songs don't exactly have the best messages behind them, but I'm the kind of person who can look past that and realize that he's joking 90% of the time. But all in all, Eminem is the best. [For a longer section dedicated to him, read my Eminem section.]

Nelly: Wow. Nelly is just awesome in every way possible. He has a really unique voice that I happen to love. Every song on his album is good. He can't go wrong. His style and personality is just so... Mellow, which makes him different. He always looks like he's having fun, no matter what he's doing. And I love that about him. I think he's hot too, don't you think? And the fact that he hasn't forgotten his St. Louis roots is really cool. His videos are always like a giant party, I wouldn't mind being in one of them one day. :) Nelly is amazing. I love him.

DMX: I personally think DMX has a really good message in his music. You may just laugh at that, but after watching a show he was on where he was explaining his music, I totally respect him. He doesn't want to have any "booty videos" because he thinks it's degrading towards women. He doesn't like to rap about violence because he says there's better things in life. He doesn't want to set a bad example for his kids. And to me that's just cool. It shows that he is educated and he does care. I like almost all of his songs too, ...And Then There Was X is a really good album. I reccomend it. DMX is cool because he's so real.

Ja Rule: This man is so good. Honestly. I first heard of him a year or two ago when Holla Holla was out. And I liked that song. Still do. But he dropped his thug image and now has really good songs. He invented a new genre of rap, "love rap." All of the singles off his new album, Rule 3:36 are really good. I bought it and love it. And he has a really good personality. He seems so sweet! I think he's pretty cute too, you know. Ja Rule is just really good. I like him a lot.

Dr. Dre: Of course I like him. He's just amazing. And he has a really good ear. He discovered Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit. [Just to name a few.] I like almost all of the stuff he comes up with. He's just really good at what he does. Basically, anyone Dre discovers is gonna be good. It's a given. Oh and Dre 2001 is good.

Snoop Dogg: He is hilarious! What I mean is that he's always kinda um... High. And therefore it makes him say and do funny things. [Ex: "Santa Snoop" on TRL.] I like a lot of his music too, the all time best Snoop song is Gin And Juice. I love that song. He has a really good lyrical flow and that's cool. Snoop is just funny.

Xzibit: His song X is just slammin'. [Note: I don't talk like that, but it's fun to say.] I bought his cd, and he has a song on there called Don't Approach Me featuring our favorite wigger, Eminem. It is such a great song. But back to Xzibit now. I love his laugh. It's so funny. And he has kind of a rough voice, but it sounds good with all the beats. I first heard him on, yep, Eminem's CD. And I obviously liked what I heard. :)

Cash Money Millionaires: They're such a tight clique. And by saying that, I meant that everyone is really close. In case you don't know, some people in it are: Juvenile, Big Tymers, Lil Wayne, ect. I like most of their stuff, I have the Big Tymers' I Got That Work CD. Cause it has Get Your Roll On and #1 Stunna on it. Muah. Another song they do is Bling Bling, perhaps you've heard of it? lol. Most of their stuff is cool... But a bit of advice for them: take out the caps. They look nasty.

Lil Bow Wow: Aww! He is so cute. I realize that he's only two years younger than me, [he's 13] but he is just so adorable. And both of the rap stations here are in DC, which means everyone loves him. Seriously, he had three concerts here and they all sold out in 20 minutes. How cool is that? Anyway, his CD is really good and the fact that he's 13 is just awesome. I really like all of the songs he's released and I think he'll be around for a while. He has quite a following. Go Bow Wow, go Bow Wow...

If you aren't surrounded by ebonics 24/7 like me [My school is ghetto], or don't listen to rap, you might not have understood some of the words. I'll clear that up for you.

Translations:
-Bling Bling = Diamonds. Jewerly. Also called "Ice."
-Tight = Cool. Awesome. Good. Slammin'.
-Slammin' = Cool. Awesome. Good. Tight.
-Lingo = The words and phrases a certain genre of music/people use.
-Booty Video = A video with lots of butt shots and women wearing hardly any clothes. [Ex: Thong Song, Shake Ya Ass, Back That Azz Up.]
-Holla = To call someone; to say their name. [Ex: "Holla when you're ready."]
-Caps = Gold/Silver covers that rappers like Trick Daddy and Cash Money put of their teeth to make them look tough. FYI: Baby of Cash Money has $40,000 in his mouth.
-Wigger = A white person who is racially challenged. lol. Basically they can't tell they're white. [Think Eminem.]

I like more rappers, but those are the main ones who I like more than one song from. I'll probably add to this, as my list of fave rappers grows...
