Friday the Thirteenth:

I swear, the Democrats couldn't run a pair of panty hose.---Andrea Harris

She's talking about the Florida elections (hahaha!) of course, but I have been thinking how much I'd be embarrassed to be a Democrat today. Well, actually, I've thought that before, when they were protecting the Rapist-in-Chief, and decided that they have no shame, and can't be embarrassed. Nowadays it's Daschle, who would gladly see millions of Americans die if it means Democrats win Congress again. I note Lieberman has realized which way the wind blows.

I called PG&E and the City of Davis today to stop the bills. It turns out Davis will change automagically when the house sale closes, and PG&E will check the final bill on Tuesday.

I had my bit of Friday the 13th luck when I went to a movie (the first in two months!) I dropped a $20 bill so I only had enough for the ticket, and got no popcorn. I enjoyed My Big Fat Greek Wedding anyway. It's a typical ethnic-meets-whitebread story, but it was well done. I was thinking about Roni's wedding, though we are not quite as chaotic as the Greeks! Gotta work on that!

I drove past Sam's house on my way home (birthday was Monday), but they appear to have moved. Drattit. Then my Friday the 13th luck changed again at home where the $20 was getting soaked by my porch misters.

Desperate and oppressed in Marin.

Bernadette has put up her description of WorldCon. It's a pity that she handed out all those leaflets and fliers and then has no new content for new readers.
