Eternal Love

The true love we once had,
Now our loss... is so sad
The many times I fell asleep in your arms,
Keeping me safe from any harm

I long now for your warm embrace
Your deep dark eyes, your soft sweet face
I hold a withered rose cracked and bent
To help me remember what 'we' once meant

I know this feeling will never go away
Hoping for a better day
When once again we could slowly kiss
Your once true love, for eturnity I will miss
