Words Unsaid

Mist lingers in the air over an ocean of sparkling diamonds
I sit and stare off into the distance
My mind is blank, my heart is cold
Rain in my mind, my heart, my soul
I feel nothing
But I feel something
…Emptiness
…A worry
Of what I don’t even know
Of words I haven’t even heard
I feel I know the words that are hiding from me
The feelings and words are neglected to be shared
Deep down I know they're right there in the open,
But deep down, I know I'm just too scared to bear them
