(Welcome to the website of the USS PROPEHCY)
These pages reveal the family, the story and the history of the USS PROPHECY. Whatever is contained herein is classified information. After all this information is all about the only trans-dimensional ship in the Federation's fleet.
As such we are unknown by the vast majority of Federation citizens. Hidden away to protect both ourselves and the Federation itself.
Originally the PROPHECY was built to protect the Federation and it's ideals from the threat of the LOCUSTA REGIME. And even though that threat is no less diminished the PROPHECY has over the past few years, as all things do, evolved.
We are now also an exploration vessel. Albeit to dimensions and realities that no one else may ever get the chance to go. On this most extremes of frontiers we try to forge friendships and alliances.
But I have to admit that it takes a certain type of character to be able to work within the confines of the PROPHECY. We have no true identity, no *known* home port. Our lives are hidden deep within the Federation machine, only a select few know of our existence. Most of what is known about us is simply rumour and nothing more.
This extends even to our families and friends back home, they do not know where we are (and can not know), and even getting as simple a thing as a messages back to them is a chore in itself.
And yet families can be made up of all sorts of characters, families can be built on more than blood. And this is what the PROPHECY has over the years become.
Simply put the PROPHECY has become more than a vessel, more than the only trans-dimensional vessel, more than a designation it has become a pi'maat. (A family and all that that ensues).
We don't all look the same or even act the same. A quick glance at our crew manifest will show you that we come from all over known Federation space. And still the bonds of friendship and loyalty fashion us into family.
I suppose I'm making a lot of this but being over 60 years old, a Vulcan/Human hybrid and also the Commander of the PROPHECY, this crew means a lot to me. They have become my family and I would give my last breath for them and this ship that is our home.
I've served on the USS PROPHECY in one guise or another over the past three years. I've seen my friends come and go, scattered to the stars and yet they remain a part of me and a part of this ship. Most to bright and glittering careers inside of Starfleet itself, but others to different fates. But even so these losses bring us closer together rather than pushing us further apart.
It is these bonds that helps to make the PROPHECY the unique ship that it is.
