Yay! It took ages to update, but finally, here I am, back in the saddle, so to speak. First of all, you were fantastic at Coachella. It was truly worth every nanosecond being there and being able to appreciate blur's new music in such an intimate outdoor atmosphere. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It was doubly supa dupa because of the participation of my soul mate in the event. Couldn't have asked for a more brilliant day. Will elaborate in the gig report very soon. :)
The Field Day move from Long Island to the Stadium just plain sucked. The weather seems to have been uncooperative then, as well, but your's truly did not show up, due to the prolonged cross-country road trip back. Was chillin' at the foothills of the Colorado Rockies on that day where the weather (sorry), was ab-fab (did I just say that...ewwww...sorry about that). Was seriously gutted, though, as blur, e and beck were all to be there, and I couldn't have imagined a more emotionally satisfying fes for myself. I believe e appreciates your music very much (you may know this already?) At any rate, am impressed with your sense of professionalism throughout the rainy day and was sorry to have heard about beck's accident just when he was grooving to your tunes. Hope he feels much better now.
Am happy to report that I am treating myself to three of your gigs, back to back, this birthday month. I wish I could go to the others this month, but assignments beckon on those other dates. So see you again in NYC, Boston and Washington DC. Have a safe and smooth trip throughout the rest of your tour Stateside. Please blow me a kiss, if the spirit moves you, for the big birthday coming up this month. Cheers!
