January 2005

HAPPY NEW YEAR, D! The year of the monkey has come and gone and the year of the rooster is upon us. Does that mean there will be no more monkeying around from you? I sure as heck hope not. :) Bet you are having a good first day of the first month so far. Am listening to "Democrazy" for the first time for real (hitherfore have been listening to it in the stereo in my mind) on a 50's stylee jukebox and am finding it perfectly suited to the juke. This "Five Star Life" kicks booty with its Indonesian sounding percussion. The "five star" this and that bahasa is groovy, d.

So any New Year's resolutions this year? Maybe resolve not to make resolutions? I got a head start on mine in 2004 and am coasting along Miami Beach. It's allright. I would imagine you're doing the same with your gaggle of pals in the studio. The new site is sweet, btw. Thought of throwing my hat in the ring, but will most likely light a fire under my artsy fartsy kid bro's you-know-where to get him to create the mother of all creations. We'll see what happens.

Okay, thanks to my mother and her generosity this Christmas, finally have my very own Mac iBook (remember all the rest that I used to have/use were hand-me-downs from my bro' who also happens to be the biggest Mac geek?). When I figure out all the little doodads will transfer what I've learned to this site too. May take a decade or two, but what's the hurry, huh? ;) Have a grand year, d!

Best Wishes,
frances
