November 2005 Part One
OMG! OMG! OMG! This is the best holiday this BRITGIRL can ask for! Have just returned from the second night of "Demon Days Live" at the Manchester Opera House and am completely energized! Have secured a crash pad for the week and all is well save for the corns which I have grown on my two achy feet as a result of walking around in very cute gothic boots which are a terrible fit! The past two days have been pure hell for the feet! It has been heaven, otherwise, so I guess you win some, you lose some.
The quick-and-dirty gig report I can give you at this moment when time is running out on this rented PC is as follows: you are at the piano; the set on stage is simple, yet creative; the Manchester Opera House is totally packed and VERY HOT; Mancunians love Shaun Ryder; Jamie's art work is awe-inspiring; 2D and Murdoch come alive and do a Liam G. (of sorts); your voice is heavenly; the kids are cute; the looker with the bod always gets the best spot on stage;
a full band; string performers, backing vocalists, choir, featured artists and you make a powerful combo.
BRITGIRL is taking copious notes and observing closely with her mega powerful binoculars so please stand by for an anally detailed blow-by-blow as soon as is possible given that this is her holiday, too, and she needs to enjoy it to the hilt. *wink*
