Hope this letter finds you well and positive despite all the demonstrations going on now. Finally got a chance to watch "Screaming Masterpiece" and found your short interview about Iceland quite nice. They showed Kaffibarin in the good 'ole days which was kind of sad what with the downturn and its effects on Iceland (Reykjavik included). It's also a shame that the BBC World Music Awards got axed. Congratulations, though, on the Monkey: Journey to the West nomination to the Cross-Cultural category at the Songlines Music Awards 2009. Amadou and Mariam's nomination as Best Group as well as several of your other friends' nominations must be happy news for you, as well. "Sabali" is one of my favourites as it has that special touch. ;) Hope you have a good month. Will touch base again come May. Stay cool as ever, d.
