dear damon
June 1, 2000
Can you believe the year 2000 is half over, d? Amazing, isn't it? I bet the first six months have gone by in the blink of an eye for you, I know it has for me. So are you about to start recording as scheduled? Wonder how time seems to pass when you're in the recording studio. Bet time seems to stand still and that you lose all sense of whether it's day or night unless you go out for something, huh? I know I lose all sense of what day of the week it is and what time it is when I am interpreting in a small artificially-lit booth. All that really counts for me at those times is the 15 to 20 minutes of interpretation for which I am responsible.
Your recording session will be an excellent occasion for you, Graham, Alex and Dave to jam together and warm yourselves up for the Meltdown Festival, huh? You will all be very busy for the coming few months, so please do take good care of your health, okay? By the way, I had a good laugh when I read the title of G's new CD, 'cause I have called you "Golden d..." Well, according to G, it's about the D chord, and not you, but what a coincidence anyway. Do stay the golden d that you are forever!
amusingly yours,
frances
