dear damon
July 2000
d, this is the month of blur's appearance at the Meltdown Festival on the 2nd. I had tickets for row H, eight rows from the front, but will have to miss your gig for logistical reasons beyond my control. Needless to say, am greatly crestfallen that I cannot go, but I suppose that we all do have some things denied to us from time to time, and ought to take such denials in stride...
Speaking of taking denials in stride...please allow me to excrete some of that "emotional vomitus" that you seem not to be too fond of, d. Have hit rock bottom, if ya know what I mean? Am so steeped in melancholia that I have bid the bc room adieu and was seriously considering trashing this whole website! Then I thought, "heck no!" so am updating now and taking things one day at a time. It's a bit difficult to do, though, when you've got "no distance left to run," and all?
Have a smashingly amazing gig at the Meltdown and remember to have your people tape that show and please find a way to make it available to us, okay?
sentimentally yours,
frances
