Educate me!

How damon's thirst for knowledge can lead to our edification...

First and second week of May 1999

"If you see any of us (damon, his mum or sister)driving down the road, get out of the way."
-damon (May 1999 issue of Ray Gun)

"I don't really know how to drive a stick."
-damon (May 1999 issue of Bikini)

"I failed my driving test so many times, I even find it difficult driving in England. I mean, I walked the earth for the first 30 years of my life."
-damon (May 1999 issue of Bikini)

What's up with damon and his driving? Are good drivers born and not made? Does practice make perfect? Is it because he's left-handed? Is it because of his eyesight? Is it because it is indeed "quite hairy" to drive in England in general? One thing is for sure, if you're from the United States you cannot automatically exchange your driver's license for a British one (although you can get an international license for your brief stay there). Take heart, damon, it's only going to get easier and more pleasurable the more experienced you get. In the meantime, watch out for aggressive drivers and stay safe, okay?

What's the UK driving licence test like?
Do you fit the description of an emotionally impaired driver?

Have you all gotten your driver's licenses yet? Like damon, I got my license fairly recently, but only had 7 hours of driving lessons before I took the actual test and passed on first try (though I couldn't parallel park at all!) Now I'm a Penelope Pitstop va-va-vooming all over the place. I'll take you on a spin if you're ever in my neck of the woods!

KNOCK, KNOCK. WHO'S THERE?
